you have to amplify the signal. the actual voltage of the fish is very low, so you need to add a lot of gain.

how did you make the sound audible. did you simply hook the wires up to a speaker or was there an amplifier involved. im doing something similar and it doesnt seem to be working and me and a partner seem to think that it might be a false electric fish.
