  • @getajobobama We are really getting tired of having to baby them and spend precious time changing injections with them in our shop. Its kinda of getting tired of adding oil to them on a load. Besides do you know why we use edge? Maybe because is one of the chips you can tune to shift when you want with loads without ruining them. Is not like we can even put chips in our fords anyways.

  • we all know the new diesel are fast with just a tuner, a dpf delte and all.i gota 6.7 and it runs hard. and the 6.4 is awesome. the early 6.0s were shitty.the best 6.0s were the 06 and 07 with the newer vanes. but the 7.3 and 6.4 are badass. and the 6.0 has potential if u can figure out that vgt turbo and headstuds. but the 5.9 and 6.7 are the best along with the 6.4. the newer dmaxes are ok

    the 7.3L is The ONLY legendary engine. WHAT ARE YOU DYSLEXIC??!!! CUMMINS 5.9 12 VALVE AND 24 VALVE... THESE ENGINES ARE LEGENDS. And now the 6.7L is the New Born Legend. The 6.7L is in the 2010 MOTOR TREND TRUCK OF THE YEAR (2010 Dodge Ram). 7.3 is a good engine but i wouldnt own one because of repair cost and its a V8 Diesel which they are not easy to fix. I did, It sucked ASS.

  • 7.3 are simple and super reliable. but Are you really going to need a diesel? And are you willing to pay extra .50 cents a gallon. And when they break there expensive to fix.

  • I don't mind paying extra, its fixing it thats a problem, but I don't mind that either, I can fix it with some of the guys I know

    But would a 6L be alright for a beginner? or would you say 7.3? And for a first truck would you say 250, or 350?

  • After i fixed all my problems with my 6L it has been problem free. I lean toward a 7.3 there cheaper and reliable for a first time diesel guy. And 250 and 350 is no difference unless you get a dullay

  • The smoke can get on the rim depending on the truck. I helped 2 brothers straight pipe their trucks, one had a Cummins and the other a 6.0L PSD, they both dumped it before the wheel and had the pipe back under the truck so the Cummins has 1 blackwheel all the time

  • By no means do i think 90 degrees is cold at all. I work in a Freezer all day at -40* below and thats cold. The video was not about how cold it is outside. It was just my truck starting in the morning. Cold start to me is when the engine is cold not the air temp.

  • I thought this was a 7.3L. How long does it smoke that color on start up?

  • Possibly something to due with the high pressure oil pump, if you have long crank issues when it's that hot outside then something isn't up to par with the injection system.

    Start with the basics, run cylinder contribution test and injector buzz with an scanner that has the ability to do the FORD stuff. Observe ICP while cranking and running.

    A normal oil change could also help.

  • I just had it at the dealer just before this video and all they said was wrong was the ecm had to be flashed. Looks like they really fixed lol
