we all know the new diesel are fast with just a tuner, a dpf delte and all.i gota 6.7 and it runs hard. and the 6.4 is awesome. the early 6.0s were shitty.the best 6.0s were the 06 and 07 with the newer vanes. but the 7.3 and 6.4 are badass. and the 6.0 has potential if u can figure out that vgt turbo and headstuds. but the 5.9 and 6.7 are the best along with the 6.4. the newer dmaxes are ok

After i fixed all my problems with my 6L it has been problem free. I lean toward a 7.3 there cheaper and reliable for a first time diesel guy. And 250 and 350 is no difference unless you get a dullay

The smoke can get on the rim depending on the truck. I helped 2 brothers straight pipe their trucks, one had a Cummins and the other a 6.0L PSD, they both dumped it before the wheel and had the pipe back under the truck so the Cummins has 1 blackwheel all the time

By no means do i think 90 degrees is cold at all. I work in a Freezer all day at -40* below and thats cold. The video was not about how cold it is outside. It was just my truck starting in the morning. Cold start to me is when the engine is cold not the air temp.

Possibly something to due with the high pressure oil pump, if you have long crank issues when it's that hot outside then something isn't up to par with the injection system.
Start with the basics, run cylinder contribution test and injector buzz with an scanner that has the ability to do the FORD stuff. Observe ICP while cranking and running.
Man something aint right. That is a 7.3 right? Take off the oil fill cap, and see how much blow-by you get out of it while the engine is hot, and running.

Dodge and Cummins contract is up soon too, so we'll see where Dodge goes... Obviously Ford is doing something right, because to my recollection, they aren't owned by the Government.

the 7.3L is The ONLY legendary engine. WHAT ARE YOU DYSLEXIC??!!! CUMMINS 5.9 12 VALVE AND 24 VALVE... THESE ENGINES ARE LEGENDS. And now the 6.7L is the New Born Legend. The 6.7L is in the 2010 MOTOR TREND TRUCK OF THE YEAR (2010 Dodge Ram). 7.3 is a good engine but i wouldnt own one because of repair cost and its a V8 Diesel which they are not easy to fix. After i fixed all my problems with my 6L it has been problem free. I lean toward a 7.3 there cheaper and reliable for a first time diesel guy. And 250 and 350 is no difference unless you get a dullay

The smoke can get on the rim depending on the truck. I helped 2 brothers straight pipe their trucks, one had a Cummins and the other a 6.0L PSD, they both dumped it before the wheel and had the pipe back under the truck so the Cummins has 1 blackwheel all the time

By no means do i think 90 degrees is cold at all. I work in a Freezer all day at -40* below and thats cold. The video was not about how cold it is outside. It was just my truck starting in the morning. Cold start to me is when the engine is cold not the air temp.

Possibly something to due with the high pressure oil pump, if you have long crank issues when it's that hot outside then something isn't up to par with the injection system.
Start with the basics, run cylinder contribution test and injector buzz with an scanner that has the ability to do the FORD stuff. Observe ICP while cranking and running.
A normal oil change could also help.
