My Blueberry Nights | Real Guys Movie Review

Wong Kar Wai is one of the best director ever (my favourite one), but My blueberry nights is not as great as his other movies, don't know why, maybe because of the actors, or something else, but it's true

Asians do make great films. Great films aren't determined by our race, gender etc etc. Wong Kar Wai is a fucking amazing director. But the only part I agree with in this review was what Neil said about the movie being lost in translation cos Wong, I presume, doesn't have a strong enough hold of the English language and thus the dialogues do not feel genuine. But other than that, Wong Kar Wai makes amazing films and yes he is asian. So?

It's not a very good film, but not for any of the reasons stated here. These two have no idea what they're talking about, but neither do the defenders of the film. Wong Kar Wai has made some amazing movies, but this isn't one of them.

Look, dickheads, 'My Blueberry Nights' was a beautiful piece of cinema.Norahwas a very convincing actress and WONG KAR-WAI(that's his name) did well in casting her. I couldn't tell she was acting; she was the character and that's the whole damn point of acting, to look like you're NOT acting. Also, the way that this movie was shot was beautiful, and the frames and the movement of the camera told a story along with the dialogue.

Poetic? Beutiful? The director just did so many stupid, self-congratulatory, meaningless, non-believbeable things with his camera moves. Norah Jones watched her boyfriend fuck another girl in the window of his apt. and the trip she takes is so stupid. She shoulda just had monkey sex with Jude Law. End of story.

There was so much bad shit to say about Blueberry we could have gone on forever. Fact is I almost recommend seeing it just because it was soooo bad. When AJ and I left the theater the young girl who was the usher APOLOGIZED to us on the way out.
