  • she jumps out of the engine bay!, trust me all mopar guys are rejoicing over this one. mild cam?

  • @dodgedart74, Great! Glad ya like!

Cam is the biggest hydraulic purple cam mopar offers I believe, and is about the largest cam that will fit in this motor without makin the valves hit the pistons! 292/.509 lift...

STOCK 1800 stall doesn't help that idle be any smoother either! lol...

    Superbee1970

  • joe dirt would be proud

  • @UNLIMITEDMACKEY

Ha, YES, he WOULD, but it AIN'T a HEMI!... So NOT so much!... ;)

  • Needs a longer throttle return spring. That one won't quite make it to the state line.

  • HOLY COW! I see whatcha mean!

Guess when the throttle return spring reaches over a FOOT in length! Time ta do some maintenance! OUCH! Thnx for that Big468!! Will fix before spring driving!! WOW! That would REALLY SUK if the throttle didn't close after a lil rompin!! OUCH!...

  • nice ramchargers intake!

  • Thnx, needs to be resealed, and the base won't work w/ this aftermarket intake! Have to make a different base to get it to work the way it's supposed to. Factory setup is supposed to make 15 more hp at the top end from this ramcharger setup! Faster ya go, the more power it makes! WOOHOOO!!....

  • My dads got a 70 super bee. you should check it out.

  • Cool car, cool sound but lose the cinder blocks, very dangerous ,they collapse without warning, thick spruce wood blocks much better!

  • Hi Gasser,

Cynder blocks are gone, didn't have enough jack stands to hold er up on all four corners.

She's bac kon the ground on tires like she's supposed to be...

Need to put the muffler on n get er back on the road!

    Lata,

  • Sounds pretty sick man, what are you runnin for a torque converter with that 509 cam? Oh and what do you have for oil pressure? When i rebuilt my 440 I put a Hi-vol pump on it and it builds 80 psi all day long. not sure if thats normal

  • Hi Darokkz, Thanks! converter is a stock truck 440 converter. doesn't much matter w/ these tires cuz it spins really bad now w/ these street 50 tires on it. Better converter would make traction be non existant more than it is NOW! ha! Oil pressure is at about 80 when warmed up, don't look down at it much when rompin on it, have to keep eyes on road, ya know? I have a high vol hemi pump on mine as well, with hardened oil pump driveshaft! That's important as well... Stock hi vol fuel pmp too.

  • is the engine a big block?

  • yes it is a big block

  • what cam do you have...

what mufflers are on it? or is it open headers?

  • thanks a lot.

  • I have a question. I'm getting ready to do a complete rebuild on a 440 and i was just wondering how much money you had in the entire motor including machine work? I'm going to use the old crank and heads. Thanks

  • Hi, not sure why I missed your comment/question... This 440 is bored .060 over w/ hypereutectic pistons, resized rods, stock forged crank, hemi hi vol oil pump, carter hi vol fuel pump, hardened oil pump drive shaft, alum waterpump housing, junk yard heads, self ported, stock valves, but hemi springs, header studs, alum holley street dominator intake, etc.. Engine build cost about $1,300 including the self pulled junkyard 440 from a 1969 Newport! Hope this helps! Does 12's in 1/4 w/ 4.10 gears!

  • big blocks all had the 727 if it was an auto. The 904 is a small block trans. Nice project there

  • Mine's a 727, freshly rebuilt by an old dude that, sadly, could no longer work on his big block d100? (snagged a 400, a 440, and this freshly rebuilt 727 from em for a SON offa ebay! Resold the big blocks on ebay for quite a bit more than I paid for em!

FYI, Most big blocks(99%) are 727's. Had a buddy that put some sorta overdrive on his big block... can't remember the model number though.

This trans is bone stick, stock converter, stock valve body, etc...

    T...

  • why in the world was it in gear?

  • Hi Perry,

GREAT question, wasn't in gear, was in neutral, must've been some power still makin it to the driveshaft thru the tranny when in neutral...

Car's now 'off the blocks' and doesn't move when in neutral on the ground...

    Thnx for watchin!

Check out the new driftin vids n let me know what ya think!!

    Sincerely,

    Todd...

  • okay so its an automatic... is it 727 or 904?
