Every instrument is equally as hard to learn. There are many subleties to each intrument that most people don't notice or care to know. I personally can play (very well) at least ten instruments and can't remember one being harder than another to learn, even if they were related to another ie trombone and baritone, alto and tenor sax etc. Piano was difficult though to get both hands playing notes at the same time. Bass rules!
