  • She probably crashed on an uncharted island and eventually died

  • @sashadaisy1712

yup, either way she died a horrible death

  • Experts say she probably ran out of gas and crashed in the ocean near Howland.

BUT, some say she could have been abducted by..........

This show isn't meant to be serious.

  • People are still cashing with this mystery by making bullshit documentaries filled with theorycraft crap.

  • i miss this show. and no one could've done it like robert stack.

  • elgen knows what he's talking about. his theory is common sense.

  • Lonebiker74 a women from Japan said that a lady,(I didn't see the whole thing) landed their and they thought they wore spies and made them take of their clothes. When they realized she was a women they held her captive they say she had a scarf with her. They gave her rice but she threw it out and then another women says they drove that women to a hole and they shot her. Some people went to investgate and accually found her scarf!! But no body. :( I think she must have crawled out of the hole.

  • @tomboybarbieclique Intruiging story. Sounds like it could have happened.

  • 4:10-4:35 Geez, Fred sounds fucking useless lol.

  • she obviously wasnt that great of an aviator, since she crashed her bloody plane into the sea. And why do people think shes the only person to ever fly a plane with a vagina?

  • @MeesterCrumpet Because she is doing something that men usually do and when women were stuck in the kitchen.

  • What a dumb bitch!

  • in hindsight, it was suicide trying to hit howland island.

  • is it possible she went thru tha bermuda?

  • she was clueless, when it came to radio procedure she should have been prepared, its a shame, they almost made it. she was a great aviator, but lack of radio knowledge cost her and noonan there lives.

  • she was 39, but looked younger. she was a great aviator.

  • anyone find it scary watching it by yourself? thumbs if if you do

  • Fascinating!

  • they could have been on a secret government mission

  • UPDATE: On Dec 17,2010 investigators found three bone fragments on a South pacific island, And they found some old makeup, glass bottles, and shells that had been cut open. But in 1940 a British overseer found a human skeleton, a women shoe ,and a sextant box. They believe that the sextant box was fred noonan's, they also found an aluminum panel from the electra , and another women shoe. TRY TO SEE YAHOO NEWS FOR MORE UPDATES JUST TYPE IN AMELIA EARHART.

  • Again something that could have been avoid if they would just RTFM.

  • I wish I were alive when she was. I wanted to meet her and tell her what an awesome woman she was and how she made little girls {even after her death/disapearnace} believe they can do any thing.

  • I shit my pants just watching the intro

  • ShadowDJ94

DB cooper is the greatest mystery.

    just sayin'

  • Wow. A woman only half learned how to drive something and then killed all aboard. Well that's a first...........lol!

  • is she is in night at the museum 2 film?

  • @edgaras1973 Yes

  • @edgaras1973 Yes.

  • couldn't help but notice the re-enactment plane is a trike in lieu of a taildragger

  • It's a mystery alright BUT there is simply no hard evidence that they did anything other than crashed and sank. She was indeed a lovely lady and a very great figure in the history of aviation. One can only speculate how she would have helped the war effort...

  • @spitfireJEJ

i think people want so badly to think something almost supernatural happened to her, just to avoid accepting that she probably died in a very normal way. It's just a way to continue glorifying her in death for things she never got to accomplish

  • @spitfireJEJ There's no evidence whatsoever that Earhart and Noonan's plane crashed and sank. None, nada, not one shred of evidence. It's as much of theory as any other explanation.

  • @LoneBiker74 But it is by far the most likely theory. And where is the hard evidence to back up anything ele? A shoe which was the wrong size? Metal which did not match up to a surviving Electra?. Other oddments which "could have been" hers? I would love the searchers come up with something substantial, but sadly, they ain't.

  • @spitfireJEJ There is no evidence they crashed and sank. There is plenty of evidence that they crash landed at Mili Atoll, were picked up by the Japanese and taken to Saipan. There's even evidence they landed at Hull Island in the Phoenix Group. There's even evidence she returned to the U.S. as Irene Craigmile. But there is NO evidence whatsoever that they ran out of gas and crashed in the ocean and sank.

  • @LoneBiker74 You mention three alternatives for which there is supposedly "evidence". Since they can't all be right it does not say much for the quality of that evidence does it? As for "no evidence" they crashed and sank, if there had been evidence of it, there would have been no mystery to solve would there? The crashed and sank scenario remains by far the most likely outcome - if the least romantic.

  • @spitfireJEJ Most likely perhaps. but there is less information in your post. If those instruments went haywire and didn't work logic was outnumbered wasn't he? So the evidence might not be logical in nature. Perhaps instruments are obselete in that environment. She didn't know which way she was either up or down. North or South?

  • @abby495 Of course she knew whether she was going north or south or along the Line of Position at any one time. What she did not know, sadly, was the location of Howland Island relative to her own position. Instruments did not and still do not become "obsolete" in that part of the world.

  • @spitfireJEJ There is actually a lot of evidence to suggest that she landed on the Nikumaroro island in the Pacific and died there some time after landing, as a castaway. A woman's body was found on the island. Also they found a piece of plexiglas which was the exact thickness and curvature of the one used on Earhart's airplane. A shoe heel was also found on the island, which matched the flight shoes worn by Earhart. Many experts believe she didn't crash into the sea, but died on the island

  • @spitfireJEJ At that time, if Earhart and Noonan went down into Saipan for whatever reason, the japanese would hve assassinated them either way and any foreigners found especially if they were from the west. Jst that simple..you dnt need hard evidence, just common sence & logic. If the US found any evidence about that when they were stationed in saipan later on, they would have hid or destroyed it just like they do with everything else. Why does the US hide shit ? Thats the real Unsolved Mystery

  • Amelia Earhart; the most staggering mystery there is
