I think this is kind of an underated rivalry everytime these teams play it's always one for the history books I kind of wish they were in the same division again
@cheaner1 the super bowl in Tampa where the Ravens beat the Giants and then the following 2001 season. I'm sure one of those games with the ugly score box is on here somewhere.
The titans today need to go back to this identity...smash mouth running and run stopping football...we never really had a great secondary but they held up everytime when the whole defense played their part...I guarantee u this titans team would win a super bowl in today's NFL
@EastCoastDoggz actually 2000 Titans were better. Without Al Del Greco's breakdown in this game, the Titans win easily. Statistically, this game wasn't even close as the Ravens offense did absolutely nothing all day. The Ravens were quite frankly the luckiest team in history to ever win the super bowl. They really were pathetic on offense that year. I mean absolutely horrible.
@driver8train Ay you know what, you are 100 percent right. But all it takes is one busted leg to fuck the whole system up. And this is what i have say. The better team always win the game. That day the Ravens won there for they was the better team. if Del Greco makes those kicks then the Titans would have been the better team that game.
Earlier in the season, the Ravens played the Titans at home and completely dominated them but lost the game. The Ravens outgained them 368 yards to 191, had 24 first downs to the Titans 7 but lost. Sometimes, the breaks don't go your way. The Ravens also beat the Titans at Adelphia Coliseum earlier in the season with Trent Dilfer having his best game of the year. I honestly think there's some validity to Dilfer's story about the Titans stealing his playbook.
@driver8train i agree with you completely, the titans were the best team in the league that year and jeff fisher deserved the lombardi trophy over brian billick who is an overrated coach

Part 1 of this game has been disabled due to copyright but not the remaining 8 or 9 parts. Go figure!
It was the only part worth watching if you're a Titans fan.

the score graphic used by CBS here was so much better than the ugly crap they unveiled for the Super Bowl later that year.

I had forgotten how truly awful Trent Dilfer was. He has to be the worst quarterback to ever win a super bowl.

What is it when we play the Ravens. We do so good and then blow it.

@eastcoastDoggz: Thats true they were better. I would have loved to see rams vs ravens in the superbowl.

They had no problems with the Titans defense in the previous two games. It seems strange how they played so poorly in the biggest game of the season.
