I'm pretty damn sure you held up Vanilla extract and belive me there is a MASSIVE difference between the two.

Vanilla extract - sweet and yummy and hardly alcoholic

Vanilla essence - about 50% alcohol and gross

We make vanilla coke in the US by putting Vanilla ice-cream topping syrup into coke with ice.

The way to make vanilla coke is with vanilla syrup. You can make it with 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring that to a boil to dissolve all the sugar. Get 2 vanilla beans, split them lengthwise, and stick them in a bottle. Pour the hot syrup into the bottle, and let it sit for 8 to 12 hours, then put it in the fridge. Then just add a tablespoon or two of the syrup to your Coke.
