I go to applications > Accesroies > Avant Windows Navigator and it doesnt work, I see a grey square appear top left for like a milli second, then it disappears and in system monitor, it just says sleeping.

Can anyone help me please?

Yes you have to, or else is going to look bad besides the panel is going to be useless when you install the AWN.

think u refering to 8.04 cuz im on 8.10, well no back in 8.04 i had to do a repo add and some othershits to get the applets also. Thats what i mean by different cuz otherwise u wouldnt have the extras stuff. Maybe it changed but thats how i did it at the time.

nice, ive been playing around with cairo-dock, its similar but it has SO MANY more options.  It's like too many things you can control with it.

Cairo was buggy back when i used it. The GUI in there options was pretty confuing and messy also.
