  • im doing a report and this song really helped me.This am Wickedsoldier991, and I approve this comment.

  • Beautiful.

  • A long time agoI I listened to 'for the love of god' by steve vai, and I thought it was really cool how he brought back the main theme at a later point but made it a lot more ...zesty, for lack of a better term. It hit me that this is exactly what chopin does and it blows my mind every time. goddamn I love this shit.

  • I keep hitting replay.

I feel as if I'm traveling through time and through different seasons with each progression and color change.

    MINDBLOWN

  • AMAZING! !

  • now my man...this is what i call HIGH FUC***G QUALITY! holy shit dude! amazing mate!..

  • i think thats exactly the way it should be played

  • I have to play it at the Xmas concert and I really hope that my interpretation will be as half good as yours. :)

  • Great interpretation! You play very well. What's the piano your playing on? It sounds amazing!

  • amazing..

  • miraculoso

  • please i need sheets for this composition ! btw great playng mate !

  • Thank you, I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes, listening to this performance in awe!

  • Beautiful and I love your tempo, a lot tend to rush through this piece, I can't wait to learn this. Very inspiring.

  • This is beautiful. You have really made the music come alive, and it has given me an appreciation for Chopin I did not have before. Thank you so much.

  • Absolutely beautiful. How many years would it take someone to get to your level? It makes me want to learn how to read music. Amazing.

  • I heard this on Pandora and instantly fell in love, it's probably one of the most beautiful pieces, in my opinion, Frederic Chopin ever composed, and that's saying alot considering Chopin.

  • flawless performance bravo..! can't help but notice there's like strings in the background..? did you layer violin with the piano? or is that the sustain?

  • your hands are blue =)

  • I'm sorry but are you playing on a Yamaha Clavinova piano? I happen to have one myself. The best Yamaha piano made actually.

  • Good. But don't do arpeggio if it's not needed ;)

  • I played this nocturne for my senior recital, and it's just gorgeous. Your interpretation is divine. Thank you for sharing!

  • hummmmmm you dont have the beat men!!! sorry i already played it.... so i really know this song

  • @violettecs Apparently you don't really know it. cubusdk's performance is flawless. Judging by the way you speak, you don't seem very intelligent, so I'm guessing your interpretation is much poorer than his.

  • @T3hL337Sesshy ohh yeah i'm french dude just try to say your comment in french and we'll see who's the most intelligent here! and yet i played piano for like 11 years and i'm in conservatory so MAYBE i know a little bit about that! but anyway just listen to it in a cd you'll see what it really songs like

  • @T3hL337Sesshy and i'm sure he's not playing the part where we don't see his hand! its the hardest part very strange!

  • @T3hL337Sesshy and just to see your vidéo you doesn't look like a very intelligent person! :S

  • @violettecs Hm, well. I've been playing the piano for longer than you've been alive. I'm not going to sink to your level and argue that that means my opinion's automatically better than yours, but it seems pretty obvious to me that you're just some snot-nosed 17-year-old kid who gets a kick out of criticizing the performances of others. If some conservatory out there accepted you, then they must not be very prestigious at all.

  • @violettecs ..rubato

  • What an amazing interpretation! I love it!

  • ....so herzlich schön....

  • This is probably my favorite Nocturne from Chopin. It is very moving and dramatic.

  • MMm, the note in the right hand at 1:12 sounded different from what the sheet music indicates.. in spite of this, very romantic playing!

  • You're right. It even sounds off too.

  • This is the best performance of this piece on Youtube. Whenever someone asks for a performance on this piece, I recomend yours.

  • you play this fantastic. im learning it and its not so fantasitc.

by the way, whats the difference between a "nocturne' and other types of music. ? why is it called that?

  • a nocturne is a piece suitable to be played in the evening

  • @ddtoots:

Nocturnes are usually slightly darker, moodier, and have a very dreamy and whimsical quality. Rather than being rigid or sounding very structured like some other music.

  • well played

    you got it :)

  • Beautiful. Just beautiful. I listen and watch you play this all the time.

  • ...That was beautiful ;)

(I also like the color changes ;)

I'm in the process of learning this song & am looking for inspriation to continue....

    Thanks ;)

  • You playing this is unbelievable for someone like me who listens with my feelings more than my head.

  • Wow, ese es mi nocturno preferido T___T

  • really great!!!! continue your great work

  • nice balance between left and right hands. wonderful piece. you should've done it without looking at anything, though....but still. beautiful.

  • Why does it matter whether he/she is looking at music or not?

  • its more immpressive

  • Oh of course...........that makes sense.......

  • so good, it looks like 'the pianist'!

  • I was looking for Horowitz playing Op.2, but clicked this one instead without realizing it. Beautiful touch. Masterfully done!

  • same. I clicked on this one instead and then didn't even bother going to the Horowitz one =)

  • thanks. i needed a great visual to remind myself how to play this again. appreciate it. your feel of andante is kicking ass. great job.

  • Very well done! :)

  • I really enjoyed that. A great interpretation, and what a wonderful reportoire you have. Plus the editing of the video was great, I loved how you followed the sheet music in the middle section!

    BRAVO

  • Awesome

  • Nice. This has always been one of my favorite Chopin pieces (out of the ones I can play). The camera tricks add interesting depth to the music.
