Alicia de Larrocha opens a new way of interpretation to this concerto. A more decontracted way than Horowitz and even Rachmaninoff took. Which does not mean its not such a good way. I think Rachmaninoff would have been surprised and would have accepted her interpretation . She really is convincing.
