People... the levels on the spells depend only on their power and how much 'magic power' they consume... !

The difference between a 3, 5, 7 and 9 'point' level spell is the amout of 'power' runes, ie how much power it has and costs.

Now the humans have probably only enough power to cast spells up to the 7 point spell, that is why you need the 'stargate' thing for the 9 point spell.

The humans need the tome to LEARN the spells and runes which would not know at all otherwise...

I find this chapter to be the most annoying out of the entire game, mostly because of the yellow floor. Edward's without the elephant gun is atrocious, as well.

Yeah, the first time you had to do a 9 point spell, I didn't find it too bad, even though there were horrors and guardians. The second time just seems more irritating because there's so much walking...again

Humans can't use magic without the tome. Then they can use whatever magic they like(but need a bit of assistance with the 9points via stargate rooms).

Pious can use 7, I remember(not sure if nine)

The ancients can do whatever. They're gods.

Nope. 3 point, you summon a trapper. 5 point, you summon a zombie. 7 point, you summon a horror. 9 point, you summon a guardian, or a Black Guardian if you have enough power and can dominate it, like Pious. 9 point + the energy of three of the Ancient's relics + a great way to channel this energy (here, the city of En'gha) OR two millenia of preparation and sacrifices : you can summon one of the three Ancients.

You are saying nonsense. The humans cannot use magic, except if they have the Tome of Eternal Darkness. If they do, they can use whatever spell they want as long as they find the corresponding runes and Circles of Power. Horros don't use magic. Pious uses mostly 5 points and 7 points spells during his fight, and only uses 9 points spells during cutscenes. The Ancients do not need to resort to the runes in order to use spells. Their powers are boundless, and they can use thel however the want.

Lets put it this way:

3 points are the weakest spells and Zombies are the weakest life forms.

Horrors are next strongest hence they get 5.

Pious is one under his master and so has the second highest 7.

Finaly There are the ancients like awsomnes Xel'ototh who have the most powerful. The most powerful spell we experience in this game is the 9 point which is what Ninetailedknight atributed to them.
