  • When she gets shattered like that, I always thought that she looks like some sort of broken angel... I hope they include something like that when they get to that point of the plot in the new series, tough it would be boring if it was *exactly* the same... Heck, I want them to continue it. This frachise as a whole is high quality Science-Fiction which actually connects in a way, to things that are already possible today. Except for the Tachikomas, they're completely unrealistic, but who cares,

  • they're cute! *.* Also, the way theiy made a plot about the common meme phenomenon which is atypical and new characteristic of our time is awesome... They should make a 3rd gig already! Well, in the meantime, we can still rewatch the classic stuff... like this awesome movie of awesomeness here. I like how it portrays the essence of love/ppl getting together/procreation without actual sexuality... It's just cleverly done...

  • I don't know wht Motoko always thinks she can take on tanks by herself. :-/ Bad habit, Major, bad habit.

  • @Bregowald im brown. and this was made and tooks place in japan where not many black ppl live. it would make no sense having black ppl in this.

  • @khosrow it doesnt matter where it was made. there are no BLACK people in it. what part of that dont you understand, u little shit?

  • @Bregowald i love trolls ^_^

  • @Bregowald check out "How the Lord of the Rings - Was Racist" clip on youtube, just what you need

  • @Bregowald

Lol, you truely are a terrible troll.

    :3

    BANANA POWER

  • What 's the season and episode number ??

  • @88FFX88 its from the first movie

  • What happens to her later on ?

  • @Briselance batou saves her ass and she fusionate her ghost with the puppetmaster to live her life as a omnipresent spirit from that moment on.

  • Damn, she is fit! I nominate her for the sexiest cyborg, or sexiest anything really.

  • she atacks the wrong part of that tank

stupid robot, why they make you smart ? to kill yourself ?

  • GAME OVER BIATCH!!!

  • That was like a Big WTF??! cause how in fucking hell she pulled that shit and all of her limbs just completely detached. Damn that MUST be some serious case of hernia or she is trying too hard to be Wonder Women.

But about the GITSSAC I have to say I watched the whole thrilogy and I enjoyed it, the romance between Batou and Motoko, the in depth analogy of the story. It's more raw watching it uncut

  • @JAYCZero i wasn't even sure it was actual romance, but it seems they do have a strong yet subtle relationship.

  • @Rei00000 Well there were some moments you can tell that they had something going on. It wasn't official, but in the entire story there is some type of romance or sexual tension between them. It's kind of hard to explain

  • @JAYCZero

yeah i know what you mean, it usually shows the most near the end of each season. like when kuze asks if she had someone she could rely on and it turns to batou. it seems like they have some romantic moments, but it doesn't look like they will do something about it

  • @Rei00000 I got the feeling that they have a close platonic relationship, like a brother and sister.

  • I like pretty much all the GiTS stuff, but I can see why the TV show went in a different direction. If you think about it, for a multi episodic format, you couldn't really continue the original movie plots, they sort of dead ended.

I personally like the show because it works on two levels. Yeah at first blush it's just a pretty, well animated blow stuff up and shoot guns show, but on subsequent rewatchings you pick up little things here and there that are very, very subtle and intellectual.

  • @worshipthesock

In the anime it's pretty much how the world that holds the vast amount of intellectual territory, instead of the characters.

I love the TV show as science fiction because it really felt like they established a self-sustaining world that needs no explanation, you just need to watch it unfold.

  • whats the name of the movie? or show?

  • @ExtremeGamer26 Ghost in the Shell

  • this movie has so much detail, and motoko is so myserious and cool

  • Wow this guy needs to actually watch the anime before spouting crap like that...

First of all there is no such thing as a "Generic anime" and total crap? you obviously haven't watched it thus your opinion is completely invalid, And the anime is just as dark and philosophical it just does it a different way. and "Unemotional"? are you seriously saying that's a good thing? -_- FYI it follows the Manga closer than the movie does. It has it's own individual art style which is just as good. GROW UP!

  • Comment removed

  • My favorite animated movie of all time. I was heavily dissapointed in the direction they took the show, making it another upbeat, generic anime. Which was total crap considering how incredible the movie was. Dark, philosophical, unemotional, with the greatest artstyle I have ever seen in a Japanese movie.

  • if you compare it to the original manga the serial stays a quantum jump. it has not the visual stile we love but the phylosophical part is as sophisticated as the movie.

by the way what ever you do dont whatch gits 2 with audio commentary. your brain will be fucked by a way u even could imagine. you have no idea what the movies are about. remember the colour red -.-

  • Uhhh "generic" why don't you try actually watching the series before spouting that close minded crap.

If you actually read the Manga the series stays closer to it than the movie.

    GROW THE HELL UP!

  • I have seen both gigs and watched SSS, I know enough about it to actually have anopinion. So don't call my properly formulated opinion and "close-minded crap," because I already gave the series enough of a chance, and it disappointed me. I've also been through the Mangas, and thought the same. I don't care for faithfulness to the original, I care about something that entertains me, which the manga and series failed to do. Of course you raging fanboys then come in and believe its the holy grail.

  • Uh wow... even if it was a "generic anime" (Which it isn't) that's still infinitely better than any of the *****y american crap we have now.

And yeah it's pretty obvious you have only seen the movie and don't know **** about the show.

-_- Damn I hate morons like this guy.

  • @KarntheHellknight i back that up brotha, 100% agree , most of the original and greates stuff that are foreing and hollywood touches , becomes crap , dont gett me wrong , i appluse ll he hard working put on the series form a very visual point of view , but still too much to desire considering that is one of the best animated movies ever made , ..keep on touch

  • @KarntheHellknight

Actually, the stand alone complex takes much more closer to the manga. the anime film was good, but i thought it was too dark.

Sure it's preference, but don't think one is less than the other. and the artstyle i personally think was the worst in anime history....motoko looks like a girl with a man face. and i think we all know that they didn't need to be nude just for camouflage

  • @KarntheHellknight I found this movie highly emotional in it's own way. How can you listen to the soundtrack without feeling anything? I think that it isn't garishly emotional, but treats relevant emotion with due taste.

  • hey, from which Ghost in the Shell is this scene??

  • From the 1995 movie called ''Ghost In The Shell''.

  • thanks a lot

  • ...The least you could have done is let the chior finish the song though.

  • i dont want to spoiler XD

  • This scene always touches me so deeply, because it isn't just Motoko trying so hard to reach the one she's fallen in love with, it's about Man's search for meaning in life. You watch her try so hard, but it is only when we loose all strength and illusions of it that we find our truest selves.

  • i agre. the last thing gits is about is a lovestory XD its an metaphysical masterpice about the meaning of personality.

  • Damn! She literally busted her shit up!

  • Ain't nothin' but a peanut!

  • great animation

  • one of my favourite animated scenes....to animate this you have to be full skilled with human anatomy.

  • and knowledg about deadlifing XD

  • ok i need advice should i buy this movie? is it good and i know visually its sick as hell but is the storyline any good and is it worth 30 something dollars? its hard finding an anime that isnt dumb or borderline kiddie porn. so should i buy this movie? please tell me what you all think if youve seen the movie that is.

  • [ironie]oh no way. dont buy it its just the most influential scifi masterpiec of the of the late 1900 [/ironie]

if you dont like the animations go buy the rebuild version.

  • 2.0 is nonsense...just some GREEN AND ORANGE COLORS and the CGI MATOKO worst on 2.0....

I like the old version more.....ok....actually...the sound on 2.0 was much better.

  • Yes, it's one of the most soulfull, inspiring movies ever made

  • @yunakelis rent it or view it in HD on Netflix save alot more money

  • Hey! Why'd you cut it off?

At the end, that robot is going to give Motoko a lecture about the dangers of steroid abuse.

  • XD lol

  • Please remove my previous comment, I really made a mistake in writing this and do not know where my head was at the time.

  • its completly normal but to tell everyone thats not normal

  • haha! deadlift

  • holy shit man...lol XD

  • Sumo-Style!!

    LOL @ "Light weight, buddy!"

  • the internet is full of sick ppl XD

  • Yh really!

  • thats sick and no one want to know that! keep your dirty secrets for yourselve.
