depends on what kind of timmy, but more than likely it is a great trade. certain timmy's like up to date 05 alias, abomb, 06 infamous, naughty dogs, miami rage d2 alias, protege,vice might be worth holding on to just based on resale.
ive had my for going on 2 years now, shooting it every weekend, and ive only had the gun go down on me twice, once was my error of breaking the battery harness changing the battery, and the other was just the simple chage of the bolt sail oring. you clean and lube the bolt after every 2-5 cases and it will do you good.
yes all protos arevery quite, and they are tournament ready stock. shot a dm9 and one of the new dye nt's at the field yesterday shot just as good if not beter.
I just ended up getting a bob long defiant 2, it was cheap enough only like 200 but it should be good enough for me i dont need fast i just want smooth and consistant.
best hopper ive ever used super easy to clean and take apart, super fast feeding,long battery life. i would reccomend it to anyone ive beat the hell out of mine since june playing atleast once a week and havent had a jam or even had a crack on the shells they are so much more durable than a halo or vlocity even tried once to break the shellby dropping it on concrete 4-5 time could even get it to leave a scrape

It's all preference.
A timmy is a older supergun.
a PM7 is a downgraded DM7..
