They did a test on sounds heared every day in Sf and it was fire crackers thrown by kids not gun shots that most people are hearing, in HP there is only 23 murders per year
"only" 23 murders? The neighborhood only has 20-30,000 residents. City gunshot detectors have recorded 96 incidents of gunfire in Hunters Point in the past 47 days (and 204 more elsewhere in the city in the same time frame...and the detectors are only in a few neighborhoods at that). And yes, they can differentiate between fireworks and gunfire. In the past 47 days, there have also been 390 shots fired calls to police city wide.
