  • i cant seem to do the click with the kick and hi-hats. i find it hard to suddenly use the tongue when doing the kick and hi hat. any tips or explaination? thx =D

  • Try slowing it down and really working on the rhythm. It's all about repetition. Best of luck!

  • GREAT

  • Hey, i was wondering where did you learn to beatbox?

  • Sorry for the late reply man. I learned everything I know about Beatboxing from mimicking Rahzel and Kenny Muhammad and then over the years I started to pick up additional techniques from other tutorials and fellow beatboxers. What have been your influences so far?

  • sweet dude, uhm is it only me or dont u think he looks like lee dainton in dirty sanchez? :o

  • Thankyou so much for posting these videos. I know this won't be the first thankyou message you wll have recieved and it definitely won't be the last. You have helped me make some wicked beats and my friends think they sound awesome. Thankyou sooo much!

  • Hi master! :P

Thank you. You help me very much. :)

  • hey dude thanks for the tutorials. This is exactly what i was looking for.

  • Thanks Dude.

I am soo much better now

  • You're very welcome! I'm glad I could help.

  • dam I still can't Kick properly any tips?

  • Practice, practice and practice some more. The more you do it, the deeper, clearer and more robust your kick is going to be. Other than that just make sure you are building up enough pressure in your mouth and have clean punctuation. If your having trouble with anything in particular send me an email and get back to you.

  • hay mate your good as, you helping me heaps with your tutorials, i still gota watch the rest. your easy to understand and watch. thx mate 4 the help.

  • hey dude cool tutorials. Can u write out the beats when u show them put together. For example khkhshhshh

  • I am working on creating an easier to understand method for notating beatboxing that incorporates rhythm/meter marking as well. I'll let you know when I get around to notating it and I'll add it in the videos as annotations. Thanks for the comment!

    Ben

  • do you have any other tips to help perfect the kick? your videos are very helpful btw :)

  • It really just takes time to get the kick deeper and more pronounced. Continue to work on tightening up your embouchure or mouth muscles specific to the kick and try to build up the pressure in your mouth and let it come out as clear and crisp as you can. Give it some time.

    Ben

  • Damn wish i was that good haha. Trying on and off not really improving much.

Is this like muscle memory or something? Like it just becomes more pronounced and you don't even have to think about it after practice?

  • When I first started to practice these noises they didn't sound anything like they do now. Over the years they just developed and got crisper, cleaner and more pronounced. Your spot on with the muscle memory because when I Beatbox I can't even keep up with myself sometimes. I know it in my head and my mouth fills in the rest. Just keep practicing.

    Ben

  • I can't seem to get any of them right(except maybe the click) Do I suck or does take a while to learn?

  • It really takes A LOT of practice to get them sounding like I have them. These first three sounds are the ones that I have been doing for the longest so just keep practicing everyday and work on Pronunciation and Punctuation and you'll be killin the mic in no time.

    Ben

  • oh o.k, thanks for replying.

  • Great tutorials. You do an excellent job explaining how to produce the sounds. I would like to see one with a step by step (easy) syncopation, if possible. Thanks again for the videos!

  • I will do my best to get some tutorials up going more in depth with some beginning syncopations. I sometimes forget how difficult it was for me when I was first starting out to replicate speed and punctuation. Next time I will make sure to go over the Rhythms in a slower step by step form. Once you can copy them slow, then all you have to do is work on speed and transition. Feel free to send me messages about questions any of you may have.

  • My click doesn't sound very loud =(

  • thank you for actually teaching us how to make the sounds.
