You can buy PCs with preinstalled OSs and drivers. So this "+" of the mac is off the list.

Preinstalled software is an issue of lazyness and sometimes stupidness.

If you are lazy enough not to know the software you want to use, go ahead, be a kid - buy a mac, but be aware that you are going to spend 15 times more money on for it.

Stupid people + PC = a bitching retard who wants a mac.

All people who buy mac's always want to justify their fail investment's. Its just too much of a waste.

@corfroo i got my iMac back in August. so just over 2 months ago. best thing i ever did and Snow Leopard is def the best OS i've ever used in my life. it even blows Windows 7 outta the water. only thing i ever use Windows for now is the ocassional game. otherwise i'd never leave the OSX environment.

@MikieRamone enjoy your cheap Mac wannabe. Using a Hackintosh would be like watching your favourite movie with the sound muted. You're only getting half the experience. OSX is designed exclusively for Macs. You'll never get as good a performance from OSX on a PC with a hacked kernel as you would on a Mac. Yes, Macs are costly, but even with the cheapest one you're getting a great computer. I used to think they were overpriced, til i got my iMac and realized what i was paying for,

@gUrAcoX463 what the hell do you mean? :s you organize your folders however you want to. the only thing you won't be able to change is the location of system folders, but then you wouldn't need to. Any user created folders can pretty much go anywhere you like.

Well when you spend £1000+ on a laptop you have no choice but to brainwash yourself its the best thing in the world...or you could just accept your an idiot and attempt to get a refund. I'd rather spend 3 hours of my day installing (what must have been thousands) of drivers and save up to or over £500. More to the point, only idiots buy pre-built PCs, build it yourself - use your brain and learn something. Macs are just extremely overpriced PCs with standard OEM equipment in a shiny case.

@CandlesInADaze some people just want to use their computers. they don't want the headaches of fixing everything up, or installing various drivers. they just wanna USE the damn thing without any problems. The Mac experience lets you do just that. You prefer the whole experience of building and managing your own PC, but don't go calling people idiots just cause they prefer to do things differently. Ditch the god complex and accept that not everyone is the same as you.

Macs are over priced. My $700 pc has better specs (minus 3 inches on the monitor) than their most expensive model. Macs are for noobs in a way. iMovie is like noob Sony Vegas. iTunes is like noob winamp. Even jumping right out of the box- it's so easy! Well you paid for the easyness. If you wanna get work done, get a PC. I mean, look at their mascots, the mac guy.

Well with mac it's not the best for gaming and there is not a whole lot of freedom to going to sights etc. Also I have had very poor support from apple. Yet I guess if you want to do things simply go for a mac, PC you can always get better internal.

I didn't really switch, but I got a mac. After the first few hours, I started to hate it. I wanted to print a page, but a completely different one came out of the printer. WTF? I also looked at the hardware. It was so poor, that I nearly puked. A Geforce 9400 in a 1200 dollar computer? What the hell? Also, the keyboard sucks. My fingers always slip from the keys, and it's too small and HASN'T even got a damn numpad! Things I did like were the Magic Mouse. It's really awesome. fckingcmmentlimit!

and something about the programs on macs.

there are tons of programs on pc's, but a ton of them are absolute shit. you have to read through reviews, try a ton of them, and when your done, go through the frustrating uninstall process.

with mac, almost every program is a hit...i have yet to come across a program that was a miss. and uninstalling is as easy as command+delete

I just ordered an i5 iMac which has a quad core processor and includes a 27" LED display. The $2600 you listed doesn't include a hard drive, optical drive, nor a display. My i5 is only $2000. To add a 27" display, optical drive, and hard drive to your custom configuration would run you about another $5-600. This would change your $2600 to over $3000!

that's because the Macs have Unix-based OS. and no virus programmer is really going to go through programming a virus that's unix-based. But like all products, it's going to be exploited. sooner or later, there will be enough programmers programming viruses for macs and macs will have to drop their prices. Honestly, I really do like macs, but the fact that Apple treats their customers like we don't know shit with their "hands-off" religion, it makes me not want to care about Macs.

Well when you buy the cheapest HP, you have to install drivers...You should state the price that you bought the HP and the Macbook Pro.

Also, what OS did you have on your windows?

Did you know that Mac OS X copied Linux's desktop setup?

Also, In Windows 7 (32 and 64) you are able to dock all of your programs, so its cuter for you...I guess thats the qualitys you want in a computer.

( Linux ubuntu with compiz fusion) kicks butt.

We even have Time Machine...

5 or 6 of them ... one is call Back in Time...

There are user friendly copies of Linux... Like Linux Mint... it's dummy proof. and it's free and will run on any PC...

But I like Ubuntu even DELL sales Linux Ubuntu computers. :)

They load fast and don't get viruses just like Mac...

There are very few even made for Mac or Linux...

That was a pretty decent video. One thing I would recommend though is that you take out that part about how the first thing you have to do is convince your parents. Not everyone may be 17 living at home with their parents still. The more common first problem is the cost of the MacBook itself, not their Mommy or their Daddy controlling their lives.

it's like if you have too many windows, you can drag them to different boxes so your screen doesn't look cluttered. at first, i didn't use it but then it came helpful when i was using more than 5 applications at once.
