where can i find some good fishing tips for salt water shore and pier fishing.. ive fished large and small mouth..and theres not too much i dont know about catching cat fish..but im kind of a novice at anything saltwater. i live in philadelphia so i usually fish the delaware river.but ive been trying south jersey/ocean city or atlantic city..catching fish but no keepers..would appreciate any help..thanks

@curtgowdysharkhunter well im trying to catch some keepers next year so any bridges peirs or sections of beach you can suggest would be great...also tackle set ups...i usually just use a top/bottom rig wit some size 2 circle hooks and a 2-4 ounce weight.depending on current...or a blue fish rig(works great for touchy fish)

@hardhatg69 their is one place where about may 28th they catch over 100 30lbs+ striped bass in ocean city, its called the oceanic pier right before the entrance into the board walk, its on the inlet side, most of the fish are caught on fishfinder rigs with live eels, about a 5/0 gamakatsu inline circle hook should work for you. In the fall and spring big stripers are taken off asseteage island on fishfinder rigs, and clams, bunker, and live eels. The bigg fall stripers are taken in november.

@surffishingvideos hey i have a couple of those lures, some pnut bunker sized ones and others like the on in the video, how do you fish them cause i cant seem to get any strikes with them, so i was wondering if i was fishing them wrong i've used 3 different retrieves, slow retrieve, fast retrieves with quick jerks, and a moderate retrieve and letting it hit the bottom once in a while, what am i doing wrong?

@khmer4everkhmer you should go to Gloucester for early spring striper fishing bass rocks is a good place for land fishin big stripers there good bait shops in Gloucester are 3 lanterns and Winchester fishing are good bait shops in summer u can jig for live mackerel at pier, Gloucester is half hour north of boston
