Rahxephon is not an anime for kids to come in and watch expecting a gundam. IT follows closely over the psychology of Evangelion but in not in a direct or some cases abstract manner. A lot happens outside the show and the explanations are for the viewer to interpret. You know as much as the central character and you're supposed to follow it that way. Keep all this in mind if its an anime you're interested in watching.

I know of maybe five animes that are as good as this AMV for even a few minutes. There is no series that can live up to this. That said, I've watched RahXephon and liked it, but it has clear flaws, such as trying to appear as though it's deep without actually saying anything particularly significant, and suffering from a moderately slow pace for much of the series. It benefits from some interesting motifs, interesting characters, a few standout episodes, and some cool animation.

I think the edits were good, added to this piece, and made it stand out. Its not just a bunch of clips put together like 99.9% of all AMVs are. There's some real effort to this and as someone who works with After Effects a lot, I know what I speak of from the techy pov.
