@TheSouthernNation thanks alot, its just a cheapo $35 stainless magnetic whip from radioshack. out across the vast nothingness that is 78 in west alabama ive recieved about 7-8 mies from the tops of the hills in my small sedan. the top of the whip is probably only about 8 foot off the ground.
@eltatertoto 8 miles is really good with that set up, my record is 30 miles on AM in north GA, Btw my handle is SteamBoat, Have fun out there and God Bless.
