This is the "good ol' boys" network trying to pay her back for all of her whistle blowing on ethics violations she'd witnessed in the past. Now the Democrats are trying to pile on.

Monegan's firing is unrelated to Wooten. Monegan and the Gov did not see eye to eye and it was her perogative to replace him.

The pressure to fire Wooten never came directly from Gov. Palin herself, rather it was unauthorized calls from her staff (for which she has disciplined at least one staffer).
