God loves all the homos but he certainly does NOT agree with it...it goes against the laws of nature that God created. If you are a homo, you are going to hell...period. Please don't be mad at me, God hates the homosexual lifestyle...read your Bible. however, I do believe that no one should be discriminated against and the hatred needs to be abolished. God does love them...just not their sexual orientation...homosexuality does not have life in it...you cannot reproduce or be fruitful...
@miperr3987 Homosexuality appears regularly in nature. What doesn't appear: talking donkeys, flaming chariots, people turning into salt. Biblical literalists are idolaters. They worship the writings of human beings who, though inspired by God, were too limited to ever communicate God's truth perfectly.Read up on bibliolatry. We are commanded to love God with all of our minds and biblical and scientific study show that homosexuality is not wrong or learned. Bigotry is though.
The day I had walked in to Good Hope MCC, Cape Town South Africa, tears streamed down my face,I knew that I had come home. Thank God for people like Troy and others like him!
Wow.I saw the video on Sunday. I laughed, I cried, I got angry. More than a movie about a church, this chronicles a great leader and activist in the GLBT community while higlighting our greatest challenges.
How are movies nominated for BEST DOCUMENTARY?. I heard it's being shown at the Renberg on Dec 7th.(LA G&L Center)I would see it again!
I saw this movie today and it really moved me. Unfortunately, as a young person I've never heard of Rev. Troy Perry before I saw this film. I think the youth of the gay community really needs to see this film and realize how far we've come. Troy Perry opened so many door for us and it is important that we always remember what he did so that we could have what we have today. Our fight is not over and the youth of the LGBT need to continue this battle.
Thanks for an excellent reprise of Rev. Troy Perry's career. Especially enjoy the scenes of a young Troy at the forefront of the gay lib movement. May his successors at MCC keep the Troy spirit burning brightly.
Excellent! I and many others I know owe our faith to the MCC and therefore to Troy Perry's work; without it I know I would still be convinced that God wasn't a nice guy at all and Satan was much better to follow! IT was the MCC ministry that showed me that God really does love and care for _all_ His children.
I first attended MCC in 1972. Became an active member of the church. Though I've moved on in my life, I'll never forget the true power of God that I felt and the pure love of God that I saw displayed in the lives of many members of the church & how that increased and impacted my life & Christian walk. God Bless Troy Perry...a true and Real Man of God, who just happens to be Gay, and is not ashamed of it or the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Troy...God "bless ya reeaalll good!" Love JC!
This movie is desperately overdue... I love Troy, and his ministry has saved my life and the lives of thousands of men, women and transgendered across the world. Troy rocks! Amen!
I can't wait to see this movie. Troy Perry did so much for the GLBT community, and the people at Tragoidia will do him much justice while making the film extremely riveting and entertaining.
Rev. Troy has been a blessing to so many in the GBLT community by giving us a place to worship. Everything he as done to fight for this privilege is amazing! I can't wait to see the movie!
