  • There is no t50 there is a prototype that's it how could anyone know which is better. It ludicrous

  • is this an intelligence rip off from the f-22 and f-35? i mean did they steal the tech and just put it on their design fighter or is there anything new n innovative here? thanks.

  • @OlderG0ds

PAK FA has thrust vectoring, and supercruise, nere full spectrum 'stealth', superior avionics? I think both planes are equal. /lockthread

  • Russia prepares for war with NATO. The mobilization of funds.

  • Россия готовится к войне с НАТО. Началась мобилизация средств.

  • Development to create aircraft with vertical take-off began almost at the same time in the late '50s, both in Russia and Britain. The British first plane is the "Harrier", while Russia is the first aircraft Yak -36. If you look in more detail the implementation of vertical take-off schemes are very different.

  • U.S. Air Force shit! In the mid-1990s, developer of the F-35, Lockheed Martin, briefly worked with the Yakovlev Design Bureau. Rotating the nozzle's structures realized in the plane of the fifth generation F35B copied from Yak 141. Without us, you can not do)))

  • @TheStupidamerica I wonder where they got the idea for the Yak 141?... Brits

  • They tried to copy a f22 but is just a relly bad copy " Cheap copy" USAF it better

  • @emachete1 "Cheap copy". Yeah, right, this could take down that piece of crap F-22 in a minute.

  • @emachete1 nice english, bro, but this plane is more advanced than the f22, ignorant fuck

  • @nfsmohpsp Explain how this is more advanced than F-22? You can't, because it isn't!

  • @OlderG0ds explain why the f 22 is superior then , you cant...

  • @nfsmohpsp I'm not the one making the statement that the PAK-FA is superior. lol. You clearly can't back your own words up. What a fool.

  • @OlderG0ds so you cant proobe otherwise

  • @nfsmohpsp F-22 has superior avionics, supercruise, thrust vectoring , full spectrum stealth, and it is actually in service not just some half ass prototype years away from production. There you go, proven wrong. Now stop making statements you can't back up.

  • @OlderG0ds f 22 is not inservice till next year, and thrust vectoring is nice, but can cause unestability when making turns higher than 8g

  • @nfsmohpsp F-22 has been in service since 2006. What you said about thrust vectoring doesn't even make sense so I won't touch that.

  • @OlderG0ds I hasten to note that the PAK FA has all the same but much better parameters) want to know why? for example the engine - at f22 only control the pitch - and the PAK-FA full control over the thrust vectoring, supersonic without the use of afterburner, advanced avionics suite

  • @OlderG0ds PAK FA - an enhanced Su 35, and you say one and a half years) ha ha, well, you know that the mathematical description of technology of stealth created in 1962 by Peter Y. Ufimtsev) now you know who copied? in conclusion - PAK FA f22 cheaper by 2-3 times)

  • Lucky bastard...

  • @exfactornovus The US has the best trained pilots and Air craft in the in the world. The only russian ace in the vietnam war was a SAM commander. I dont understand how russia can point out other countires flaws without looking at its own flaws. Sory about you boy Quadafi

  • looks like a cheap copy of the f22 to me LOL

  • @ilvin27 That's cause you're retarded and your opinion doesn't matter.

  • @ilvin27 looks more like a yf23 superficially

  • Sad face, like it looks like bull shit.

  • SU 27 in enough to shot down an f22.

  • @coflex09 f22 kkkkkkkk

  • Спасибо тебе...Родина!!!!!!!!

  • Keep dreaming, when has a Russian plane or pilot ever been able to shoot down an American or NATO aircraft.

  • @JPSwissCheese And when an american pilot has been able to shoot down a Russian?

  • @STALKER1918 American pilot in the Korean war shot down a few dozen russian pilots, there were also a few russian pilots in the vietnam war who flew and may have crash or been shot down, and Isreal shot down 9 russian advisors in oporation Rimon 20

  • @JPSwissCheese

    Outdated comment is outdated.

    ~Tobi

  • @JPSwissCheese you don't know nothing about planes,right:)??haha

  • @newworldsoldier81 no, I do know quite a bit about the plane. Look at the shape of the nozzle. Unless they are using a type of metal that science hasn't descoverd yet the plane can be seen by radar from behind.

  • @brandonbig1 " t50 is a pile of shit just like everything the Russians ever invent"...

I wonder if you've ever opened an engineering textbook in your life. How exactly would you know it's a pile of shit? Development is far from complete. Such bitterness....shame

  • Did he fly the plane?

  • Such biters cant the russians just get their own design? F22 all the way bro...

  • Putin looks very old when he's up top looking into the cockpit.

  • @Eagle1oh7 Like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons.

  • Probably not even know what a Pentium processors came after the company was working intel Russian scientist named Pentkovski))

  • if you understand a little bit in the principles of the atomic bomb is not so ... they would write in Russian scientists have data from the exploration of the design of the American atomic bomb, but the design and principle of operation was totally different that the increased power output. Read the story) But what about the hydrogen bomb - Russian invention. The first artificial earth satellite - also copied)))

  • Well russians are the best spies in the world, while american buy other ppl-s ideas and inventers! atleast russians have something of their own!

  • By the way in developing F35 Americans collaborated with the Russian company Yakovlev. The resulting F35 aircraft have a copy of technologies yak 141, in particular swivel nozzle for vertical takeoff.

  • The plane needs more double-eagles and less stars -- otherwise, sexy!

  • what the fuck is the point in making these things!?

  • True, it is a derivative of the original SU-27 platform. What's wrong with it? Ain't broken, don't fix. And, don't forget, it is the first plane, meaning, it is a prototype. The final product might and will be very different. I am pretty sure, though, that it will have get the job done.

  • Putin is like ''shit! the f22 does vetical better than mine''

  • Szpiedzy tacy jak my mówią że to jest tylko atrapa, prawdziwny czeka w hangarze aż go Putin przeleci.

  • T-50 is an awesome fighter, but I would be nervous too if my country was surrounded by a lot of US military bases :)

  • A friggin F22 knock off, come on Russian be original for once

  • @SubaruWRXtreme ahh STFU ! first it doesnt look anything like f-22 ... and second it has better speed , better range , higher service ceiling ... so plz STFU ... get ur facts streight

  • @SubaruWRXtreme Nope, not really. Why you say that is because of the body/wing design (the head and any other part of the jet is original Sukhoi). Basically because that design (diamond shape) is part essence of STEALTH radar cross-section. And you know who discovered that for us? A Russian too, Piotr Ufimtsev who made a book that is studied by Lockheed Martin, the basis of the F-117 and B-2 designs.

  • @999cheetos999 Piotr Ufimtsev practiced theory for stealth technology and is given historical credit for being the "pioneer" but he didn't do it all by himself - American Lockheed took those theories and EXPANDED them to create the actual applicable concept for achieving true stealth technology.

  • @Boltdriver70 Piotr isnt the only one to contribute to the F-117 and the B-2 bomber, the concept of those bombers were also taken from Nazi Horten bombers. Piotr Ufimtsev founded the modern teachings of radar cross-section, where he explained some shapes could actually confuse radar (diamond/triangle). Lockheed didnt expand this "shape" theory in practice, but made it better by using RAM coating for the "shape"

  • america russia chaina have stealth tecnology now fourh country will be pakistan because pakistan steal steath tecnology from amercian choper which destroy osama bin laden operation

  • @brandonbig1 Yeah we talk shit about the F-22 because all F-22's are grounded for oxygen problems and F-35's grounded for electrical problems, I even got it from American news. Classified? Its all over the net, people can think you know, nothing is hidden forever, plus the F-22's engine Pratt &Whitney F119 is a well known engine, with its thrust statistics and dry weight, people can easily compute its speed.F-22 ISNT CLASSIFIED, get that straight, even you Americans dont know it :I

  • @999cheetos999 yea they have been grounded because that's what a responsible military/government does to fix the problem. What about all the problems with MIGs over the years (if this was unlimited posting maybe I could list some) - fact is ALL fighter jets or any military hardware for that matter has design flaws that are remedied after constant testing so big deal. Are you really implying that Russia has superior quality building? If so, you need to do some historical fact checking.

  • @Boltdriver70 Huh sure. A simple example is MiG-21's flying without much maintenance in days and taking off with ICE. The F-22 takes 30+hrs maintenance for every 1+ hours of flight, to put it in Russian standards, MiG's take off as long as it can fly and has gas.Another is back in WWII Soviet IL-2's can take 600 AA shots and still survive.Depends on how you define quality actually. Im saying this because a 300+million dollar F-22 is grounded, and there has been crashes already

  • @999cheetos999 yes but there are several examples of US aircraft/military hardware that was basically indestructible (not literally) over the years past and present. I was speaking overall quality comparison Russia was notorious for rushing their designs into service and then suffering major problems/casualties when much more testing should have been done. Anyway, this is a bad-ass jet like I stated b4 - wish US/Russia actually designed them together, imagine what would be produced :)

  • @Boltdriver70 Its not that Russia has bad engineering, but their EXPORT versions are mediocre at best. Its just right for Russia to sell monkey models of their jets for secrecy, and Russia never fought a major conflict since WWII, so we cant actually judge.Another reason is because old MiGs and SU look-alikes are still used today (interceptors)by MidEast against multirole fighters (F-15)thats why its unfair. The Vietnam war (MiG-21 vs F-4) interceptor vs interceptor is a fair fight.

  • watch?v=BNYWO8RrdPE

  • PAK FA in Ace Combat Assault Horizon 1:48 & 1:56-57.

  • T50 looks dirty, meaning it has alot of reflective areas. If youve ever been up close to a F22 you will notice its as smooth as stainless steal, thier are no rivits to reflect radar. This plane is clearly trying to decrease its radar signature but in no way is it stealth.

  • is the t-50 stealth

  • If you look carefully at the lines..you will notice that this is not an all new airplane, this is a heavily modified Su-27! The landing gear, the engines, are all identical to the Su-27...they just changed it to look stealthy

  • @dnlcast2 Sorry man, but if you look it better, the F-22 is also an "upgraded" F-15. No LERX, engine systems, size, manueverability, speed almost the same (modernized), but the F-22 has some stealth, but not as much as the B-2 or the F-117. (but it is better than the F-35, the PAK FA or the J-20 in that)

  • @dnlcast2 that, is the most bodus thing, i have heared.

in a really long while thanks for the laugh.

  • @dnlcast2 also, that is because Sukhoi Know their math and aerodynamics...where do you want to put the landing gear?

on the fucking nose? where the radar is?

god, the idiots on youtube these days/

  • @dnlcast2 The landing gear constitutes this not being a new aircraft? You're kidding, right?

  • @dnlcast2 I mean are people this dumb all six of you come on man seriously

  • @dnlcast2 Actually, I disagree. Although it is similar, the design is quite different. The only reason those things are the same is because this figher is produced by Sukhoi, the same people who produced all the Su series (hence the "Su"). This plane is extremely state-of-the-art and advanced. Besides, you have to remember that the one seen here is just a working prototype, and that the actual fighter is still in development.

    ~Tobi

  • @Vezonmasta I guarantee you it is based on the Su-27...im not saying its a bad thing, its a way to save money, but it is definately based on the Su-27 airframe

  • @dnlcast2 lol..you want them to use stealthy landing gear?

  • i love Vladimir Putin walking style...>:D

  • It has an engine!

It is definitely a poor copy of that Wright plane from the early 1900s! It's obvious!

    Plus it has wings!

It is a poor copy of a bird!

    Plus, it flies!

It is a poor copy of anything that flies!

Shit, those Russians have the nerve to to sport feet? They are a sorry copy of any creature that has feet!

They even try to copy all the other creatures that breathe!

Even the Earth they live in is a poor copy of any other livable planet that we never knew off.

  • @myquill23 come on,take your medicine

  • look's like a mix between a F-22 and YF-23

  • @youngike hmm. I'd say it looks more like a stealthy SU35. It pretty much looks exactly as you should expect a russian stealth-fighter to look. The only thing i miss is that they fix the exhaust.

  • where do you have to study so you could build this plane? and how many people exactly designed this plane, im just curious..

  • Beauty and the Beast (Putin being the latter) ;)

  • That new chinese stealth fighter is said to be superior than the pak fa, but still inferior to the f22.

  • @ITSbigwillystyle

who said that? another chairborne expert on youtube?

    sounds legit...

  • @Suyamu No I was watching some sort of show about jets. The only reason the f22 was ranked highest was the electronics inside it.

  • @ITSbigwillystyle

What's inside the F-22 is pretty much a well guarded secret - that plane is not on the export market, meaning information is not being given away - I'd take any shows which claim to know better with a grain of salt.

  • @ITSbigwillystyle u know that f22 is a piece of scrap metal.pls stop troling ok? pakfa is way batter than j20.and the chinese j20 is waaaaay better than f22.(yet f22 fleet has been cancled not beeing able to fly and its production has been stoped.f22 is a TOTAL MESS.specially in logistics and support.u my friend have no idea about fighting planes.media have brainwahsed u clearly.)

  • @ITSbigwillystyle J20 is going to be pure front line bomber... its to fat for fighter and its radar tech is going to be hillarious compared to russian/usa tech.

  • @Militarija I think it will be an interceptor. Big, fast and long ranged plane, just look at the size. Similar type to what the Mig-25 or Mig-31 were/are. Not very manueverable, but fast like hell, but also upgraded with some stealthy features.

  • In a battle between 2 stealth jets, it doesn't matter which is more agile, the one which is more stealthier would win. In that aspect, the f 22 would win, hands down.

  • @m16a4ish How do you know which is more stealthy?

  • @m16a4ish Search in GOOGLE - How? The Deadly Question for the F-35

They are australian experts. Also search there for some info about modern battles and role of stealth. It`s totally not like ordinary people imagine it to be. So don`t speak about stealth vs stealth or air fights at all, cause you have no idea how it works. I tell you - search that australian site, they have many things to say.

  • @m16a4ish stealth this...stealth that...sigh...HAVE U EVER HEARD ABOUT AESA TECHONOLY OF RADARS?

  • I'm a jingoist American patriot, still smoldering relic of the cold war with an innate dislike for anything related to Soviet/Russian military. But that PAK FA T-50 is one awesome flying carpet.

  • As usual, Putin was not impressed.

  • @tarded55 that was his happy face

  • @tarded55 This is just a prototype and it does not include final engines and electronic equipment.

  • @tarded55 No kidding.. No power windows, no voice navigation, no leather seat, no moonroof, extremely low MPG and expensive dealership maintenance!

  • @tarded55 You could give him a gold helicopter encrusted with jewels and still would be unimpressed. I've never seen him smile.

  • @tarded55 cant believe how scared americans are of this new Aircraft that Russia made that they have to try and knock it god its really funny!

  • @omnadrener You're really funny. You can't even write properly, nor can you spell the word 'mock'. Knocking is what you do to doors.

  • @DiabolusIgnis why dont you stay out of here since you dont know nothing about jets diablo queer since your country was taking over by Russia i know your a little Jealous you like a little kid following me into another video responce your an idiot and your going to look really stupid here i do this for a living so you might want to stick with viking subject

  • @DiabolusIgnis knocking is another word for putting someone down its used in the USA i dont expect an idiot from Finland to understand that but i would suggest staying out of here as you dont know one thing about jet aircraft cause your dumb as shit and just like your country cant make a fighter jet they have to buy foreign aircraft for there country.I know your upset cause Finland lost 30 percent of its land to Russia but you can go screw yourself im not going to waste another minute with you!

  • @DiabolusIgnis You know like knock someone down hit down down kick them when there not up to Knock not Mock you stupid jackass!Damn i use to like people from Finland until i met you!

  • that wasnt as impresive as i thought. i thought it would be eatleast as maneuverable as an f15 or f16, but looks like i was wrong. also it looks very unstealthy.

  • @armydude162 Currently two models madeonly 60 flights, restrictions on the overload is still not removed.

I already wrote that is only the first flying model T-50-1, in its testing program does not include the study of stealth capabilities.

  • @armydude162 By the way, Pogosyan, Sukhoi CEO at 0:50 says Putin: "At that moment we have restrictions on the overload in the flight program at this stage of testing", so this bird will be able to surprise a lot of skeptics in the future ;)

  • @armydude162 On the contrary, faceted aligned edges, small V-shaped rudders, engines mounted a little above engine intake line, everything about it is steathy except the engine nozzles, but thos are still in development.

  • @armydude162 it actually has a tighter turn than f-22 in this vid

  • looks similar to F-22

  • @ap0lmc lol...not at all...

  • позорники

  • is this gonna have air to ground capabilities?

  • this aircraft is actually not as pretty as f22.

  • Nice piece of work. Wonder who sold the F-22 specs to them? Of course, there is a mole within our system. Look at the new China J-20, they even include a 2 with the

    model #.

  • @twoZJs “You know there are more people with genius IQ living in China than they're people of any kind living in United States.” 1.4 Billion People's power is out of your imagination.

  • @213leb

And yet they are having trouble catching up to American Innovation.

    Tells you something doesn't it?

  • @cr9527 Hm, it is really hard to tell. If what you said is true, then China Threat Theory won't be so popular and chewed by American politicians and TV hosts again and again and again.

  • @213leb

The threat is loss of dominance or hegemony over the Asian area.

  • @cr9527 U mean States? I don't think national debt will be a really big problem in five years.

  • @213leb

    never said it would

  • sorry for my english First, board 51 (T-50-1) - first flight glider future T-50

This aircraft has not yet radar-absorbent material, management system of armament, optoelectronic station, AESA-radar and two L-band radar in the wings, engine nozzle with stealth technology (approximate their image can already be found), engines is the fifth generations, comparable with an engine of F-22 (currently installed interim option, sketch the final version is ready), radar-blocker at intakes and other.

  • @Alexstnov T-50 will never have RAM(radar absorbing material) or RAP(radar absorbing paint) for that matter. the airplane costs $100million WITHOUT RAM or RAP, and the top speed of the T-50 is said to be about mach 2.4 but the f-15 has a top speed of mach 2.5 and the raptor engines are more powerful than the f-15 engines, so even though the raptors top speed is classified we can be certain that it is more than mach 2.5. plus the raptor has a radar cross section about 100x smaller than the t-50.

  • For example, ausairpower. net (incidentally, Australia - participant of the JSF project, but this did not prevent them to criticize the F-35 and soberly assess the possibility of T-50, insisting on the active development of the program F-22). Advise you to read this during pause between playing COD and watching Fox News, before you write such comments.

  • Smart stuffing T-50 includes "OLS-50M ", and radar complex H-121: two cheek X-band AESA, two L-band radar in the slat, main AESA H050 (simultaneous tracking of targets to 40% less (60vs100), distance of detection to 20% more (1m2, 95%-240vs200), than AN/APG-77 (F-22). F-35 for all parameters except for ground capabilities gives the F-22. So at least the next 20 years the best american fighter is the F-22, but parity in 5'th gen technology will be reached already in 2016.

  • About RCS: avarage for all aspects for F-22 ~0.1 m2, instead of ~0.25 m2 for T-50. Yes, T-50 more than 2 times visible, it's sacrifice for the sake of better aerodynamics than the F-22.

Advertised extremely low RCS is possible only when strictly frontal irradiation, in a real fight the probability of such tend to 0 (of course, if you're not attacking well-known positions of libyan tanks or Taliban camps). Besides full foreshortening stealth was not a panacea for the F-117, as history has shown.

  • About RAM: RPC "Composite", "VIAM", ORPE "Technology" - russian manufacturer of RAM.

About speed: 2.5 Mach developed an experimental F-15 SE. A similar program has existed for the Su-27, called the P-42. Serial F-15 and Su-27 were much more modest.

Even in the distant 1964, the USSR appeared Interceptor MiG-25 with a real maximum speed of 2.83 Mach, it was almost 50 years ago, what speed should develop a T-50? :) Also, you confuse the afterburner and cruise speed.

  • Second, missing equipment replaced the mass-dimensional models for castings glider. Аt the moment, has already begun testing board T-50-2, which has acquired something of the above. Only board T-50-3 will be similar to the final version.

  • Americans naively believe that our plane is the younger brother of the F-22, but the truth is actually the T-50 twin of the F-22, if not more Third, the history of modern aviation industry in China - it's a stupid copy russian MiG and Sukhoi, ukrainian Antonov and Motor-Sich, israeli Lavi. Insolent stolen engines: AL-31F, RD-93, AI-222-25. Chinese airframes is a airframes of these companies, the airfames of J-20 that scare you, no more than a mix of experimental MiG-1.44 and F-22.

  • What about say the "innovative" developments in design (from the chassis and ending avionics), in addition to the airframe and engine, if until recently the chinese could not independently develop on his J-15 (copy of deck fighter Su-33) mechanism of the folding wing, until not bought from Ukraine prototype Su-33 - T-10K-7, the remaining at the polygon "Thread", since the USSR. Let me remind you, that russian refused to sell the party of 2!!! Su-33, knowing the "features" of сhinese partnership.

  • lol this is supposed to be stealth

  • @imacrazypyromaniac Sorry it isn't painted black and it doesn't have the tail you can watch movies on.

  • ausairpower . net/APA-2010-01 . html

    Great airplane

  • Great..! thank you very much my friend.!

  • I dont know why only russian planes deploy the parachute when landing, please explain me.

  • @cogreza1

Makes them able to land on shorter airstrip.

Soviet concept was making airplanes which could operate from a small dirt patch if necessary.

And when I mean operate I mean everything from take-off and landing to maintenance and repairs.

This is probably the result of the experience in WW2 that during all out war, infrastructure can be destroyed and logistics fail.

Western aircraft on the other hand... let's just say I've seen people picking up small stones from taxiways... ;)

  • I love the f-22 raptor but this t-50 looks tough. It doesn't seem as stealthy as the f-22 , the t-50 looks like it would give off a greater heat signature but I honestly don't know what t-50 is capable of let alone the f-22 , sh*t I'm not a pilot. The real experts are the pilots that fly these fighters. I'm not knocking the t-50 , it's actually a great looking jet. The t-50 and the j-20 resemble the f-22 in certain features.

  • don't be so sure

  • F-22 will kick its butt

  • Enter YF-23

  • i rather have t50 than that j20

  • @banndell we don't know that yet

  • Invisiblity is a Russian tecnology! USA only copy!

  • @yurimnds I don't think so ignorant little boy. They both copy.

  • if russia couldnt afford to make more than 2 su-37 and *chuckles* 1 su-47 then how the HELL are they planning on making enough of these to be even slightly combat effective... pulling rubles outta their assholes XD

  • @hotpocketpoison Um, the Su-47 was a tech demonstrator and as for the Su-37 it is prototype for thrust vectoring. The Su-35 is the newest Sukhoi on the block.

  • @hotpocketpoison su37 and su47 are experimental aircraft. and they r not worth to build since the US has stealth f22. they want something stealthy and so came t50 the combination of su37, su47 and some su35 too. stop being such an asshole asshole

  • @aerexenn its very true...they say the T-50 PAK-FA looks like a F-22 but it doesnt, the main body looks like the SU47, cockpit to me looks kinda like Su35 and 37, at 2:05 and 1:59 u can se the BIGGEST difference in between the F-22 and the superior T-50 PAK-FA.

  • I'm not going to pander to anyone here, I just want to say the T-50 looks like a very well designed fighter, aerodynamically combining the best of the Su-27 and the F-22. Hell yeah I'd fly it.

One thing though, the landing speed was high as hell though, it looks like the pilot was not using flaps AT ALL..........

  • Russian fighters always look sexy as hell, but unfortunately their avionics never have (and probably never will) match up to their american counterparts. The performance specs aren't really that much help when a raptor could still shoot you down from 200 miles away before you even know it's there :P Still, it's fun to imagine a close range dogfight with modern aircraft.

  • @moonunitenar Read something about the T-50 avionics before writing bullshit

  • @therealsleepwalker Although I'm sure you have a vast repertoire of fighter jet knowledge, it's pretty much commonly known that the Americans have always had far better avionics in their aircraft. Just take a look at the cockpit of an f-16 as compared to say, a mig-29. I'm just saying that I expect it to be much the same way with the T-50. Beautiful aircraft, shittier avionics.

  • @HerculesRockfeller

u'd better learn how to spell first big boy

  • Готовый самолет будет называться - ФАК Пу

  • i think F-22 its more deadly than pak fa ...here is how F-22 its deadly 3 Crash 2 dead pilot..R.I.P.

  • @SAMTOMAS...YouTube "russian planes crashing into spectators at air show" and I swear it happens like once a year...there is dozens of vids you can watch

  • @HerculesRockefellerr ..you are right but im talking about brand new 5th generation fighter and its so expinsve...by the way russia airforce is very big just like us-air force....many american jet fighter crash every year also that's normel.

  • @SAMTOMAS...well you can find zero vids of an "F-22 crash" if you YouTube it, all you get is footage from one vid of a hard landing during development. US jet fighters dont crash into spectators at air shows like the multiple times its happened with russian planes. • @HerculesRockefellerr On 25 March 2009, an F-22 crashed 35 miles (56 km) northeast of Edwards Air Force Base during a test flight,[211] resulting in the death of Lockheed test pilot David P. Cooley. The aircraft was from the 411th Flight Test Squadron.[212] The Washington Post reported that the crash happened during a bombing test

  • @HerculesRockefellerr An Air Force Materiel Command investigation found that Cooley momentarily lost consciousness during a high-G maneuver then ejected after finding himself too low to recover. Cooley was killed by blunt-force trauma during ejection because of the F-22's speed and the windblast. The investigation found no problems with the design or airworthiness of the F-22

  • @HerculesRockefellerr On 16 November 2010, an F-22 based at Elmendorf, AFB, Alaska, was reported overdue. ATC reportedly lost contact with the aircraft around 19:40 Alaska time.[214] The crash site was found and search-and-rescue teams found conclusive evidence that the pilot, Air Force Captain Jeffrey Haney, did not survive the crash
