  • The main characters look similar to Harry, Ron and Hermione.

  • i have seen this one i liked it alot ^^

  • 8 people was born after 1990

  • much better then the stuff kids watch today.

  • I was 9 years old and it was on the Family channel only on weekends. I would ALWAYS hope that I could be late for school just ONCE so I could see one episode lol

Then about 6 years ago, my dad bought the two dvd collections.

  • this involved uncle shredder, tim curry and a now scientologist it is funny what people who voice acted in cartoons get up to

  • Prince Valiant, home of the worst haircut ever

  • God I love this song.......I remember I would get up sooo earliy in the morning just to watch this show, but not only for the show it self, but to make sure I could hear this song first.....I love this song so much, it made my morning!!!...;););););) I remember I used to see it on the good'O...("Family channel")

  • They sure don't make cartoons like they used to. I'm definitely showing my kids this show over the crackhead shit on Cartoon Network nowadays.

  • I remember waking my dad up on a saturday morning to watch this with me...happy memories indeed.

  • @teacozee For me it was my dad wakeing me two hours befor going to school just so I could watch this with him. Then going back to bed for another hour.

  • All I can remember about this was that it existed at some point.

  • This song go hard son!

  • seeing that shield...I've made that once when I was a kid! haha, must be still lying around somewhere ^ ^

  • rowanne is hot, danm! why the new cartoons are so poor in quality, huh?

  • @Bombero22 Because they have it easy, no need to refine technique. Lack of creativity and too many distractions. It's, in my opinion, a very synthetic generation. I wish I was born fifty years earlier so that was not alive to see the 2000s, but able to see more of better eras that predated me.

  • @Blitzbok amen

  • i have so never heard this song in round i think 20 years

    and i still love it

  • Powerful nostalgic emotions.

  • Out where the truth lies ......... In this banking corrupted world we need to know now more than ever ....dam you Rothschild so much to answer for .....to many people are cryin without a sound.

  • A strong theme, good story, but very bad animation, even as a kid I recognized this. Nevertheless good memories.

  • OMFG!!!!

I remember being like...4 or 5 years old and watching this cartoon...

It was dubbed in my language and i loved watching it.

I have totally forgot about this show :D.

And today i have no idea whats the show about or who are the characters and all that :).

  • Ok, So this show had the voices of Tim Curry, James L. Avery (Uncle Phil, Shredder) Tony Jay (Judge Frolo & that Overseer from Soul Reaver) Brian Cummings (Sokolov from MGSolid) John Rhys-Davies & Wil Wheaton... And i don't remember this show!?! What the FUUUUUC-!

  • the music is like from a early 90's porn movie

  • Alan Oppenheimer as Merlin.... man he is in all the good cartoon, he was Skeletor in He-Man too.

  • I wish they still made cartoons that were this awesome.

  • it was one of the good new cartoons

  • I remember this vaguely. I originally thought it was an anime.

  • this song <3

  • The US never really got to enjoy this show, but based on the intro~ we missed out!

  • Some of my fondest memories are waking up at 0530AM to watch this show, it was the first show they aired everyday on TV3 Children Norway in the morning.

  • One of the best cartoons from my childhood. Watched it every weekand at 8 in the morning. It saddens me to see the junk on cartoon network my younger siblings watch today. The 90:s rocked!

  • 7 ppl hated their childhood

  • I couldn't remember for the life of me the tune even though I loved this as a child...one listen and I'm eight again. Just...wow!

  • This show had SUCH class. God, I love that song!

  • wow brings back memories, good theme song, \m/

  • Hell yeah, Prince Valiant was a gem when it came out! It actually showed people getting hacked and shot up! And the stories were very much adult-oriented. Brilliant!

  • I watched the South African version growing up. It was in Afrikaans, but sometimes I'd switch the frequency to swahili for the hell of it (you had to turn the TV on mute and turn the radio on and get the right station.) Pretty weird country ha ha

  • ghod I still remember the lyrics and I haven't seen this for ages

  • Both the Italian and the German version of the intro are beyond Epic Fail....

  • @BuddhaZenMind

The prolog in the German version is awesome. ;)

  • Sounds like Sting

  • 0:27 = Sexist ;-p

  • @ribenariver Nice one xD

  • It's crazy how a simple themesong can send me nearly twenty years back in time and give me the exact same feeling i had when i was watching this as a kid. Us humans are funny creatures.

  • @TheGratitudeDude It's the exact same thing for me too. All the feelings and memories, the magic comes back again. It's such a cool and good feeling.

  • @TheGratitudeDude

    WORD!!!

  • Believe it or not, the Italian version of Prince Valiant had a completely different opening sequence and theme song (which is available on YouTube), compared to this it SUCKED!!

  • @ceredigio La versione inglese fa stra schifo muahahah

  • saw this when I was 8 years old...

  • Nice porn music...

  • sounds like Keane

  • they used to really put effort into openings in the 80's

  • Man I've got goose-bumps. I had forgotten about this show.

    Thanks for posting

  • i remember of watching this cartoon when i was 6. can anyone please tell me how many episodes had it? and if anyone remember also tell me how it ended thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bouhesas1 Don´t remember it well. But I think it was 2 seasons only :c

  • I.... have been mind blown... that intro actually brought tears to my eyes and I don't know why... lol

  • This has to be epic TIM CURRY!!!

  • more cowbell please

  • Did the animators ever see Hal Fosters art?

  • Its the voice of the Beast from Beauty and the Beast.

  • I remember years ago when I was a kid. This was on what was once known as the Family Channel (now ABC Family). It was awesome.

  • They should do a Prince Valiant movie!

  • @UltimateSenshi They did, years ago.

  • Thanks for posting! I wish I had known there was soundtrack of the series. Being from overseas, it's quite a pain to order. Lolz. It was nice to hear this song again. I hope I'll be able to get a copy soon. My wish list it getting longer.

  • Strangely, out of nowhere I had this theme song in my head today - I haven't watched it since it was last aired in the UK but remembered the song - so looked it up! thanks for uploading it

  • Epic song. I remember watching as a kid and every week when it came on the kids presenter would mention how good the song was, or somebody would have wrote in asking about it. Top upload.

  • @ 0:38 WTF gandolf!!!2! ...couldn't afford to get Sting to sing this i guess....

  • @gwb911 u mean merlin douche

  • I just feel valiant sitting here listening to this. This was a wonder theme:)

  • thumbs up for Tim Curry

  • If I don't remember it wrong, this was a awesome cartoon.

  • Does anyone know were i can find all the episodes on a torrent?

  • got this and Defenders of the Earth for $8 each on amazon, even for flippers thats a decent deal

  • Efrem Zimbalist Jr. is one of the best names i've ever seen.

I also didn't believe that Tim Curry who voiced Gawain is 'the' Tim Curry but it turns out is it!

  • damn the song rocks

  • was anyone eles scared for life after watching prince valiants dad get an axe in the back on the very first episode?

  • @slimithy12 I remember that!!!! He called for compassion, mercy, against Dennis---son of Sinnan (Sp?) and the thing is the King of Tulane was about to kill Sinnan-----he calls for mercy of the man's son----and gets an axe in the back! BRUTAL

  • Prince Valiant fuck yeah!

  • uncle phil from the fresh prince of bel air did a voice role for one of the supporting characters in this :P

  • My fav series when I was a kid

  • Creí que jamas volvería a ver esta caricatura. GRACIAS por subir el viedo.

  • I remember this on CBBC and thought the song was amazing for a children's programme. For years I thought it was something Sting would have sang but now know who did it :-)

  • i remember this on the family channel( Pat yourself on the back if you remember the family channel). The show had alot of star power behind it and was just all around awesome! I was fortunate enough to find the soundtrack for a dollar at best buy years ago and i couldn't be happier.

  • i remember the french version: 1 murmure dans ma tete, si fort si nette..... lol that was a good soundtrack,, will never forget

  • the good old days one of the best but who sings the theme??

  • una de las mejores canciones para una serie.

  • Comment removed

  • they released a 65 episode both season box set on double sided dvds. Got it on Amazon US for 13.98 dollars - frigging awesome

  • I can just about remember this. You know what I never realised? That Tim Curry did some of the voice acting until now.

  • The most powerful themesong ever made. Goosebumps!

  • The song gives me goosebumps.

  • THAT SONG IS EPIC!!!!!!

  • Thanks for bringing back a good piece of my childhood! This is the only cartoon I can remember watching with both of my sisters on saturdays(one sister doesn't like cartoons anymore). I grew up in the 80s so I like all these old cartoons that are still the best ever made for my generation!

  • @coralmisty totaly .. one of the best!

  • I remember an epic battle to reclaim Valiants home...

  • Damn I've forgotten how good that was!!!

  • @BenHutchinson1 I'm pretty sure Arthurian legends pre-date the Legend of Zelda.

  • @DarthCipient

Prince Valiant isn't from the King Arthur stories. Just another fantasy adventure, and it's an obvious LoZ knockoff.

  • @BenHutchinson1 The "Prince Valiant" series of which this animated show is an adaptation of, is based on Arthurian legends, and was created as a comic strip in 1937 by Hal Foster. The "Legend Of Zelda" was created by Nintendo in 1986, so I'm not quite sure how Mr Foster ripped off a video game series that was created 49 years AFTER his work was first published, unless he had some sort of superhuman non-linear perception of the future.

  • @DarthCipient

I think you mean non-causal perception of the future.

  • @BenHutchinson1 No, I don't.

  • @BenHutchinson1 I'm afraid that what your saying is a load of tosh to put it politely. I'm a massive zelda series fan but there is no way you can place it as a steming point for similar creations. It's got such similar generic plot, structure, character etc etc as other much much earlier stuff. ryr this message is badly written im drunk.

  • Forgot about this one!

  • I always seen this show when i was a kid, and i also cried to my parents, cause i wanted the sword of Valiant so bad haha

  • I've allways thought that this intro is so mystic, epic in some way and strange in some way.

  • Gief online stream somewhere? D:

  • I used love this cartoon series

  • I remember this as one of the most boring shows ever... the song even sounds like a Christian rock commercial, lol. Sorry.

  • this was so good. Brings tears to my eyes of how beautiful this show was. This is back when animated shows wheren't just blocky figures with low brow humour and shallow story plots, but had actual substance. The creators took real care with the stories they told in many series back then.

  • If you like this cartoon and/or you like video games (especially the Zelda games) then you can search this on Amazon (dot) com.

"Legend of Zelda: Complete Animated Series"

(again, type it in without the quotes)

  • To get it now, type this in on Amazon (dot) com.

"Legend of Prince Valiant - The Complete 65 Episode Series"

    (without the quotes though)

  • When was it on TV? I never saw this.

  • It came out in the Family Channel in late 1991and it ended in february 1994 for a tottal 65 episodes in two seasons, the second season nearly doubled the amount of episodes of the first. This is in my oppinion the best animation ever made along with caddilacs and Dinosaurs, but the plot and dialogs in this are easely supperior to anything on TV at that time and afterwards, the action sequences are medieval stuff so it mitght seem boring for kids who were born after 1993.

  • Here R the very 1st words of the series:

Man's fate, what a strange riddle it is. How few clues there are with which to explain the random ways men seem to begin and end, to live and love, to succeed and fail. Each individual destiny invisibly interweaving with the next, fashioning the beautiful and terrifying tapestries of our lives, shaping our passions and our destinies. Extracting of strange and unexpected prices, demanding that in order for 1man to flourish, another must perish.

  • i'd try amazon if i where you they got king arthur and the knights of justice too

  • does anyone know where i can see this or get it

  • this doesn't look anything like Hal Fosters art

  • omg dude i love this shyt back as a kid

  • James "Uncle Phil" Avery was Sir Bryant, sadly he never pulled up to the castle about 7 or 8 and said to the squire "yo holmes, smell ya later."

  • Ok seriously, is this Trey Parker singing?!

  • I started humming this the other day and thought where the heck did that come from lol, then i couldnt get it out of my head *sigh* thank god i found it on here lol. One of my ultimate fav cartoons and themes.

  • Too funny. When you can't get a tune out of your head, it's called an "Earworm". lol

  • great series, any1 knew who sang the theme?

  • The intro sounds like Sting...

  • OMG! Is this of that comic series by that belgian artist?

  • Comment removed

  • This is based on the comic strip Prince Valiant, by American Artist Hal Foster, which began in 1935, still being published around the world.

  • Isn't that comic about a racer?

  • I just watched the entire series. I purchased it at Target.

  • @forensicmommy Sweet! I loved this show so much!

  • Holy moly this is old! I had completely forgotten this series. Nice one!

  • I remember watching this as a kid!!!

  • What was Tim Curry not in?

  • <3 it!great memory...................

  • and tim curry AS GWAYNE! ohhhh rockyyy!!!!

  • nostalgic, such a long time ago, thanks for uploading

  • Cool, they had the classic 80s Man-At-Arms voicing Merlin and the 1990s DCAU Alfred voicing King Arthur, to say nothing of JT Marsh from Exo-Squad as Prince Valiant himself. Cool.

  • the probleam was they burried this great show on a cable channel that usuly didnt show cartoons.

    so hardly anyone watched it.

  • I remember this when I was a kid. Wonder if it will ever be shown on TV again.

  • Maybe never, but you can buy both seasons on Amazon for about $3 each.

  • been looking for this for ages

Could u tell me, please, why did they cancelled the English version prince valiant chapters??? I can´t find them!!! They were uploaded by a "Whiffle-boy". Where are your videos, boy???

  • One of my favorite shows...lol, still! I had such a crush on Valliant!

  • that theme is incredible... sounds like something from a 1-hour weekly drama on HBO or something, not a cartoon... awesome.

  • Another great 90`s cartoon! And a great intro song!

    Thanks for the upload

  • Whoa Tim Curry's in this? o.o who does he play?

  • Sir Gawain, he was voiced by Tim Curry.

  • Incredible theme song.

  • Key3812 and MrDrumSquire,

The theme song is called "Where the Truth Lies." It is written and performed by the band Exchange and available on the soundtrack CD for the TV show. The name of the show is The Legend of Prince Valiant. Both seasons are available on DVD try Ebay. The show is based on a 1950's American comic book series called Prince Valiant and written by Hal Foster. The original editions of this comic are rare, but the reprint books are easy to find. Check your local library.

  • OMG I loved this :D

  • Omg great show and great memories. Thank you!
