  • LMFAOOOOOOOO @HOOD SHRINES LMFAOOOOOOOOOO LMFAOOOOO I AM IN STITCHES..BROTHER HAVE A SOLID POINT!!!!!

  • wow, outlawing shrines...ouch...thats just harsh! I see these shrines in the suburbs of Pa just like I saw them when I lived in the hood...and if they are outlawed, then they need to clean up the nations capital...cause that aint nothin but a shrine dedicated to slave holders, rapist, muders etc, ok, I get the cleaning up part and the fire thing but complaining about these shrines and making this out to be something that just black communities do, in my humble opinion, is a bit EXTRA, just sayin

  • I never got why the leave Teddy Bears and Balloons for hardcore, muderous, hateful gang bangers and doper dealers? Also Fearless is right about them not cleaning it up. I never feel sorry for any dope boy or banger who got wasted. You live by the gun you die by it! They put a lot of negative energy out in the world.

  • Those shrines should not be permitted.a friend tried to start one for my family.I said no,I don't do shrines.so take it to the cemetary.she said that's in Illinois! I said then take it home.as for placing the blame on our current condition, the whites got us here and no longer have to maintain their interference.we do s damn great job keeping ourselves down.at least those of us who participate in Coonary do.

  • Great commentary. I see so many of these Hood Shrines long various streets here in Atlanta and to tell you the truth, they are nothing but serious distractions. I can imagine a driver taking his eyes off the road while staring at the shrine and then hitting a small child or pedestrian crossing the street. YES, it's time to outlaw these shrines.

  • We cant blame racism. No we cant because alot of our problems is due to what WE DIDNT DO while we was young.

  • Very well said Fearless.

  • lol @ calling it a "hood shrine" tho.

    hahaha

  • @mktking LOL IT HAS BECOME A NORMAL & WELL ACCEPTED RITUAL IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY. THEY'VE ACTUALLY WELCOMED AND ACCEPTED DEATH, AND AS YOU SEE FROM SOME OF THE COMMENTS WILL EVEN FIGHT TO PROTECT IT. MANY BLACK AMERICANS JUST CAN'T HANDLE FREEDOM.

  • This doesn't just happen in the "HOOD". All people do it, i know white people and asians who've done it over lost ones. Sometimes I think people are too critical of what blacks do....especially blacks !!!

  • @jrand23 I'VE SEEN WHITES DO IT AS WELL, BUT NOT AS MANY. BLACKS ON THE OTHER HAND HAVE SHRINES POSTED ALL AROUND THE CITY DUE TO BLACK ON BLACK MURDERS! WHITES & ASIANS AREN'T MURDERING EACH OTHER LIKE THE BLACK COMMUNITY. BLACKS HAVE A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF HATE, DISTRUST, JEALOUSY , ETC.. TOWARDS EACH OTHER. IT'S BAD ENOUGH THIS FEMALE WAS SHOT TO DEATH, BUT SOMEONE SET FIRE TO THE SHRINE. THAT'S HATE!! BLACK ON BLACK HATE!

  • @jrand23 actually "hood shrines" are prevalent in Japan too. Although they are not actually called that. It is not unusual to see flowers, candles on corners of some busy streets at the site of where someone died. Usually it is connected to perhaps a traffic accident/fatality as opposed to a murder/homicide however..

  • You are brainwashed if you think the christian church is the "true religion." Those so called "hood shrines" are actually very African in nature. From the Congo and other traditions. The dead in African belief do care. Do some research my brotha.

  • @seekingjustthefacts THE GO TO AFRICA AND PRACTICE THAT BELIEF, BECAUSE EVERYONE HERE IN AMERICA DON'T PRACTICE SHRINES BEING PLACED IN THEIR FRONT YARD. LET THEM DO IT IN THEIR OWN YARDS IF THEY WANT TO PRACTICE AFRICAN CULTURE. PLUS, THIS VIDEO IS NOT ABOUT THE "CHRISTIAN CHURCH" OR "RELIGION".. IT'S ABOUT BEING RESPECTFUL TO THE PROPERTY OF OTHERS.

  • @Fearless2005 : They learned this practice not in Africa, but from our ancestors who practiced their religions here in America before they were violently suppressed and condemned just as you are doing. Ever heard of the 1st Amendment? More importantly, your own ancestors practiced the same before they forced them to stop, and you are simply continuing this condemnation as the oppressor did your own ancestors. Do some research. Can't support your message.

  • @seekingjustthefacts This ain't the Congo nigga and the Congo is just one country in Africa that does this clown.

  • @BRAZEN08 REAL TALK

  • I agree. It seems ritualistic to me.

  • I agree. Here in the U.K we have "ghost riders"....when a cyclists dies from an acciden, people paint a bike white and chain it to a fence at or near the location.

  • @Drebln893 They used to do that in NYC. They stopped that shit immediately!
