She sounds beautiful. I own a 2010 Ninja 250r and it's fuel injected! The starting problems you've mentioned seems to be only with the Carburated versions being sold in America to date! Can't understand why they bullshit ppl back there!
I love f4i I had one a while back. But I sold it miss it a lot it was a fast bike. I mean for a 600 that thing could fly I hit 179mph on a straight away coming home one day. It had a aftermarket scorpion exhaust full system with the db killer out really loud but sounded amazing! O and a k&n air filter and oil filter racing spark plugs it was lower like 4 inches from stock height. It was ok lowered it's just I couldnt lean really good but it was a good bike to hit long roads with. An I was only
Do you still have this bike? I saw this vid has been on youtube since Jan 2010, so how do you rate this bike now after riding it for a while? I am thinking about up grading to this bike from my Honda CBR 125R.
@skimbrad I still have this bike. I have put on around 3000 miles, and I love the F4i. I highly suggest it as an upgrade from a smaller motorcycle, but it is very powerful and fast. If you upgrade to this bike you need to be smart, because you can get yourself into a hell of a bunch of trouble really quick :-) It is much more comfortable than the Ninja was.
do you think i could just go straight into the F4i man. i want a 2002 one or 2003. i live in los angeles. The only reason I dont want the 250 is that I dont want to have no more juice left if i need to get the hell outta the way of someone on the freeway in crazy ass Los Angeles Traffic capital. Also, I heard u have to shift constantly on the 250. which i do in my slow ass ford ranger. I HATE shifting
@squarecnix You have to shift quite a bit on any bike to tell the truth. Have you had any previous experience on motorcycles? The F4i is pretty big and heavy if you haven't. I would suggest going through a motorcycle training course if you plan on going straight to a 600 without experience.
@kylehondarider Hey thanks for the reply. I actually did take MSF in october of last year. I now have my M1 license. I just bought my jacket gloves and helmet. I want to have gear anytime i TOUCH a motorcycle lol. So i needed it when i test ride one im looking at buying. You can get up to 20 wrong on the final exam for MSF i got 7 wrong. I think i braked a bit in a turn which they didnt like lol. Since i drive a manual I had no problem riding the bike. Everyone else stalling every 10 sec lol
@kylehondarider Good to know someone else appreciates a comfortable seat . These other track style bikes with the brick seats man they hurt after more than a few miles. This is what interests me most about these bikes. These are good little touring bikes that will throw down if you want them to.
I started with a '95 CBR 600 F3, a great bike, with enough muscles to be exciting, but not enough to punish every mistake you make. I would recommend starting with a 600, it wont get boring for while and you can ride it for two years before getting a fireblade ;)
I wanted to buy the CBR 600 F, too. I'm nearly 18, so in my country I'm allowed to ride this bike with a little restriction (only 34 HP). Would you recommend the CBR 600 F to a beginner? Remember I have to choke it to 34 HP, so it wont be as powerful as your one, i think.
Btw: I am 5"9, will that be enough to sit comfortable on this bike?
@Mercer0793 You should be comfortable on this bike. I'm not sure how the motorcycle would run when restricted to 34 hp. This motorcycle puts out 90 horsepower stock.
ok this might be a silly question but how come you want to put speakers on it? just because like 1 i would think the engine noise will be loud and 2. id rather hear the engine noise than music :) but yh just wondered why because you wont be able to hear it with wind and engine noise. thanks for any replies.
Sweet bike I'm upgrading to an 2003 F4I next summer...I feel you pain I live in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada so we only have 4-5 months max to ride or the snow is on the ground
nice bike bro. just bought an f4i myself. 06, 14k miles, 3 grand cash. they really are great bikes. bike enough to scare you if your let it, small enough to keep you out of trouble most of the time. good all around bike for everything. too bad you live where it snows, down here in AZ we can ride year round.
Nice purchase - how is the riding position of this bike compared to the 250? I know the 250 is pretty comfortable as you are essentially straight up - is this riding position similar? Thanks.
I'm looking to upgrade from a ninja 250 as well.. How was the upgrade from 250 to 600? Was it difficult to get used to the power difference? Or is it not much of a difference? I'm looking for a bike that will keep me interested for a year or so maybe more, would a cbr be a good choice for that?
@ThaBR33D If you have plenty of experience and think you are ready for a bigger bike, I would highly suggest this one. It is much more powerful, but if you use common sense it isn't too much. It's a very fun and fast bike.
@ThaBR33D I just got an identical bike to this. I hadn't riden since I sold my 750 Shadow 5 years ago and it took me about 35 seconds to get used to it. You'll be fine.
@ThaBR33D Its probably the most reliable bike in the world, chaing the oil often - 6000km, warm it up before ride, dont ride with low fuel, dont worry abot timing chain rattle :@ and it will last forewer
Great choice Kyle. Thats one of the best rides for the sportsbike market as far as comfort. I hate to say though that i wrecked my 06 blue f4i on March 22. Ride safe man, enjoy that bike, and push it. Tops at about 156mph, which is a good step up from the 250's top end of 107 lol. Some suggestions on your mods. Look at the LED integraded tail light, maybe flush mount turn signals, a Jardine slip on exhaust sounded real good on mine, and HID lights really make the bike. Safe riding my friend.
"...a little more power...and a little bit faster"? LOL that bikes is worlds faster then a ninja 250! Be careful man, you'll be blown away by the difference in power and acceleration. Beautiful bike.
i dont like the single banana seats... has to be the divided seats.. but i did always want a f4i ... just over 100 hp and more comfortable than todays supersport ...
ouch, change the front turn signals to flush mounts, those things are a eye sore, i cant believe he even put them on. it dont even cover the whole hole
beautiful bike... the owner took really good care of it. And i hate this god damned new youtube one second i am typing a comment and it switches the video
Beautiful bike. I just sold my Ninja 250 (pregen as well) and bought a 2000 CBR600F4 at around the same time you sold and bought yours. I love the F4i, but it wasn't in my price range. I can tell you that the F4 is awesome, and it starts without much issue even when the temps are in the 20s... and its carb'd too. I made a vid of mine starting and idling in the cold.. maybe I will link it to this. Best of luck with yours.
WHAT??? Something more comfortable then a Ninja. That's gonna be hard what else is there if you want to be bent at an 80 degree angle to drive while mashing your wedding tackle into a hard foam seat.. My God Man your nuts. LOL.
@BungaEBiker lol- The riding position on this bike isn't much different from the Ninja 250.. I found the seat on the newer style Ninja uncomfortable, I couldn't go on rides much over 50 miles. I will admit the 86-07 seat was quite comfortable, plenty of padding.
I bought one today. Can't wait to be able to ride the shit out of it.
