i think i can't spoil my rabbit any further than this :p everywhere i go, he's with me, really, i've never loved an animal this much. If i sit in the couch, he's there, lying on my leg, sleeping or playing, he always get's a carrot, fresh green (not too much, because then they can get sick, yés, i research, i go to the vet, i think she knows?)
@MonaLittlemoore my bunny was sick once, like, véry sick, i still don't know why, but i took him inside, gave him warmth, went to the vet and we gave him medicin, i stayed the whole 3 days with him, feeding him his meds, and just be there. Omg i was so afraid he wasn't going to make it! He recovered and was the happiest bunny in the world ^^ (my god, all that energy!)

Rabbits shouldn't even be around a pool. They don't always know what they can get into that can be harmful to them. Any vet or rabbit expert will tell you to keep them away from water, and clearly this is poor rabbit ownership.

Awesome. I always wanted to feed a rabbit like yours to a python or boa. You see those rabbits who just stand there, make no resistance and just accept their fate are no fun to watch. I prefer rabbits with a lot of guts who somehow still are alive after 6 minutes in the tight coils of a constrictor snake. At least they try to break lose.

Your rabbit is swimming for its life, not because it enjoys swimming. Please have a heart, and some empathy. Your creature depends on you. In any case, rabbits clean themselves, they are not supposed to get wet. Getting wet can lead to "snuffles" which is a common cause of death for rabbits.

The rabbit seems fine to me, and the owner is right there to help in case he needs it. People need to lighten up. Even animals need to take a dip once in a while when it's hot. They run around all day and night in fur for crying out loud!

I know it's bad for rabbits to swim, but I sorta liked this video for 3 reasons.
1) There was a person in the pool who wasn't drowning him or pulling him under.
2) This is the first video I've seen of someone pointing out that the bunny was sinking, you didn't laugh when he started sinking, you helped him back up.
3) You took him out of the water when he got a little freaked instead of forcing him to come back into the water.

ok this was OBVIOUSLY the first time you put your rabbit in the water (otherwise you wouldn't have followed hima anxiously seying "it's sinking", a strange thing to say in fron of an "eperienced" swimming rabbit. I think you made an unwanted mistake (i'm sure you love your rabbit) and when ppl pointed out that it was wrong you started telling all those lies about bathing and so on. i reccomend giving him a towel as he could catch a cold, if they arent use to it they will be stressed but if they decide to do it them selves let them, the most showing of stress is their eyes grow wide.
I can't really tell if he's really enjoying it or not, but it's not good for him, the chorline is really bad for rabbits, and so is being wet. If you are going to dunk him in a pool you should wash him off and dry him throughly so he doesn't get sick

My vet use to comment that he was the cleanest most well taken care of rabbit she'd seen. Wild rabbits don't live in their own feces. They look so miserable when it gets hot and they have that fur coat.

This fact that they are more sensitive is one major reason rabbits are/were used in animal testing for products used on humans such as cosmetics, lotions, shampoos etc. because if a product will not irritate the rabbit it is unlikely to do so on a human. I had a rabbit when I was young that really enjoyed a nice summer swim in our kiddy pool when the weather was hot.
Rabbits can swim in-fact they are really rather proficient at it. I would not however recommend allowing a rabbit to swim in a pool with chlorine as rabbits are FAR more sensitive to products than humans are so a safe level of chlorine for a human would not be safe for a rabbit.
it doesnt matter if u use shampoo or not, it can still cause these poor creatures bad infections in the butt if chlorine gets in theere, do u like to have urinary tract infections? Please don't put rabbits in the water, I'm a vet, its their defense to try to keep thier ears above the water, if water gets inside they can die, so they float, trying to survive. Please do your research before you even try to argue this fact. After all,I just love animals and care about their well being.
I'm sure u mean no harm to your rabbit but that is horribly dangerous. Your rabbit can aspirate the water and die in a matter of a minute. Ask your vet if u doubt it. I would hate to see anything happen. Rabbits do not need baths or get into the pool because the stress it causes can kill it. Search the Bunny bunch for a ton of info and Basics for owning a rabbit. The stress can shut down there system in a matter of 24 hours. Rabbits are extremely fragile.:)
it's not cruelty. some rabbits like to swim. I take my girl and put her on a little boogie board on the water. if she wants to swim she jumps off and swims to shore. if she doesn't feel like it she stays put until the board floats to shore then jumps off onto dry land. it's her choice. However, after reading some of these comments I will do a little more research to see whether or not it's bad for her.

Rabbits shouldn't even be around a pool. They don't always know what they can get into that can be harmful to them. Any vet or rabbit expert will tell you to keep them away from water, and clearly this is poor rabbit ownership.

Your rabbit is swimming for its life, not because it enjoys swimming. Please have a heart, and some empathy. Your creature depends on you. In any case, rabbits clean themselves, they are not supposed to get wet. Getting wet can lead to "snuffles" which is a common cause of death for rabbits.

I know it's bad for rabbits to swim, but I sorta liked this video for 3 reasons.
1) There was a person in the pool who wasn't drowning him or pulling him under.
2) This is the first video I've seen of someone pointing out that the bunny was sinking, you didn't laugh when he started sinking, you helped him back up.
3) You took him out of the water when he got a little freaked instead of forcing him to come back into the water.

My vet use to comment that he was the cleanest most well taken care of rabbit she'd seen. Wild rabbits don't live in their own feces. They look so miserable when it gets hot and they have that fur coat.

This fact that they are more sensitive is one major reason rabbits are/were used in animal testing for products used on humans such as cosmetics, lotions, shampoos etc. because if a product will not irritate the rabbit it is unlikely to do so on a human. I had a rabbit when I was young that really enjoyed a nice summer swim in our kiddy pool when the weather was hot.

Rabbits can swim in-fact they are really rather proficient at it. I would not however recommend allowing a rabbit to swim in a pool with chlorine as rabbits are FAR more sensitive to products than humans are so a safe level of chlorine for a human would not be safe for a rabbit.

I'm sure u mean no harm to your rabbit but that is horribly dangerous. Your rabbit can aspirate the water and die in a matter of a minute. Ask your vet if u doubt it. I would hate to see anything happen. Rabbits do not need baths or get into the pool because the stress it causes can kill it. Search the Bunny bunch for a ton of info and Basics for owning a rabbit. The stress can shut down there system in a matter of 24 hours. Rabbits are extremely fragile.:)

it's not cruelty. some rabbits like to swim. I take my girl and put her on a little boogie board on the water. if she wants to swim she jumps off and swims to shore. if she doesn't feel like it she stays put until the board floats to shore then jumps off onto dry land. it's her choice. However, after reading some of these comments I will do a little more research to see whether or not it's bad for her.
