  • Simple, but not too simple.

  • Soooooooo where are the music notes? Music needs all the staffs and the time signatures right?? And a musical instrument, I think in order for it to be called music, it needs a musical instrument right? So do you have a video on how you put the drums in there? What kit do you have?

  • @kyussfan6 I used to think this way, I've played guitar for 5 years - you have to realise that anything can be an instrument, even a computer program.

  • wtf did everything you did still didnt sound like it

  • This helped me alot :D

  • holy shit, thanks :)

  • This one's spot on: /watch?v=V_xm0s5siNA

  • Obviously it doesn't sound as good as Skrillex. This guy did this from scratch in a land speed record.

  • Nothing like Skrillex.

  • @VirtualMark2 cuz its not ... oh i don't know... DONE?! -_-

  • so simple.. yet so fat... love it, thanks for sharing... this tells me ive been trying to get too complex with my sound designs

  • THANKS SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR YEARS(months lol) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • 59 seconde ^^

  • gota hand it to you this is the best one out there im gona post this all over the webs

  • @RickyDub How do you preview the sound? Im having trouble :)

  • This is a pretty good sound i dont see why so many people are complaing

  • dammm that nigga sukz get a life!!! ^^^^^ he will never do ssame shit like skrillex doess

  • origin power go fuck yourself Sonny is 1000000 times more talented than your wanna be ass. Ummm your weak hahah

  • @TheSkyee77 do u make music? if so post some shit up dick head

  • Thanks, dude!

  • will smith soundcloud? XD hahahaha

  • nah man that was weak. skrillex has horrible pitched up leads. his style is like noisia but with faggot chords and leads. dont take him as a role model.

  • You did it in 59 Seconds :o

Btw Check out my Free Massive presets

  • @dpmne1 Get.Dominated.

  • I'm not very familiar with FruityLoops; how can i put this in the Piano Roll? When I put the notes in Piano, i don't get that wobbly sound.

  • @illy1982 use rewired its a fl plugin that it ships with , get google on your side as it can be a lil tricky to sort , but you can then just use massive with piano roll

  • @illy1982 yeah i have the same question

  • @MsCraftGames ; i found a solution; @ Global you must change the Preset BPM to the same speed as set in the Tempobar of Fruityloops. Solved it that way.

  • @illy1982 OMG!!! Thank you!!! i'll subscribe for that :D

  • @MsCraftGames ; you're welcome ;) Now make some nice dubstep ;)

  • @illy1982 You probably haven't assigned the LFO to control anything if you aren't getting a wobble

  • 59 seconds bitch

  • @SparkingVideos Above "6 LFO".

  • okay good tut but what instrument did you use?

  • promise to make more of these 60 second tutorials?

  • cooool

  • its not 60 second....but 59 second

  • @danielkangkung technically it's less because there was the intro thing with the "NEW:MACHINE" thing

  • @dexezecho Go to the Global tab and uncheck "Extern Sync".

  • @PenguinzoMixes where is this global tab? i can't find it ;/

  • @SparkingVideos nvm! +D

  • nice trick dawg

  • whats the notes?

  • Liar, thats 59 seconds :p

  • simple yet effective, thanks!

  • Fucking amazing thank you so much!

  • Thanks!

Though I got a lil problem.

I followed ur tut step by step but when I open the piano roll all the effects and wobble goes away...

    How can I fix this?

  • @SubDubDubstep same problem with me

  • @OfficialMeatSteady I found it! you have to press 'sync' at 5lfo if its on then the effects will come back

  • Sounds good, thnx m8

  • nicely done, mate.

  • now make a track that sounds as good as skrilex

  • @dpmne1 you first need to define "good". As good is merely obsolete in this case since it pertains only to ones opinion. Savvy?

  • @RiskyDub good would be getting a million views on a song you made instead of trying to break 100k on a song you didn't make.

  • @sniped101 hes helping people make their own songs, he cant tell you how to make a good song, whats the problem here?

  • @RiskyDub As good can mean worldwide success. What tunes have you done? Doubt you have worldwide success judging from the crappy attempt at Skrillex's bass.

He uses FM8 and formant eq's btw.

  • @dpmne1 Ok i'll shit into the mic and add a beat.. Thats as good as Skrillex. OH and tehe funny story skrillex didnt even make his own sound dick head he paid Datsik for em.. Wobble that nigga

  • @dpmne1 you act like it was good to begin with. Skrillex sucks

  • @dpmne1 dude, ur a fuck head. its every one's own opinion of what sort of music is good and what isn't, and obviously ur's is a shit opinion.

  • @dpmne1 Lol he made you look like a fucking retard.

  • @dpmne1 Everything is better than skrillfuck emo snitch.

  • i really think this is a helpful tut.but it would be nice to know what keys to use.but the video does say*skrillex cinema bass sound in 60 seconds*not *skrillex cinema bass sound in 60 seconds and keys*so that makes this a 5/5 video to me.

  • I thought this was going to be the pitch bent one :/

  • You Should definitely make more of the '______ sound in 60 seconds' vids they are so informative and amazing

  • How do u change the speed of the wobble?

  • @ChronoHD Change the ratio located under the Green tab that says "5 LFO" on the left hand side you should see Ratio, and change the 4 to other intervals, like from 4/1 to 12/1 or 3/16. Hope that helps.

  • @RiskyDub How would I be able to automate that though?

  • @RiskyDub How do I automate it?

  • @ChronoHD Thats a bit complicated to write out but ill try. You would first need to unsync the LF0 rate, than in your DAW's automation controls you would need to create an automation track for "5LFO RATE" through the CC controls. Once that is done you can draw in the automation your want to change the rate. I may need to do a tutorial, but will also need to know what your using.

  • @ChronoHD change the lfo ratio

  • EVERYONE Im Using Native Instruments Massive and Logic Pro by Apple.

  • dude wtf r u using?

  • 0:47 to preview.

  • @Inphanity

    0:47 prewiev, -0.8sec for intero.

    39SECOND FOR SKRILLEX BASS!!!

  • there are only 59 seconds, you are lier!

  • hi i just finished making the bass on massive but when i put it into piano roll it sounds nothing like it and it keeps making like helicopter noises but when i hold it down it makes the right noise. its just when i draw something in it doesnt make the right noise

  • @dexezecho A lot of people are tell me this. Are you using legal copies of the programs. It sounds like it could be a glitch related to that. Im not sure though. sorry.

  • @RiskyDub It is when you are using an computer keyboard in Ableton etc, and you go to press z like in standalone, and it doesnt work, instead, it lowers the octave. Press x until it sounds right, each time trying it by pressing a, s, d, f... Also, just try using the standalone. If you aren't using the latest, try updating.

  • @RiskyDub i have the same problem its driving me nuts haha im so close to having the sound i want..

  • @RiskyDub not a legal issue trust me ; )

  • @RiskyDub That's an issue you get if you use a pirated one. If all else fails, update it to 1.4 or whatever. It solves most issues.

  • @RiskyDub a lot of people complain of sounds like helicopters and sound like bells, all it usually is, is because they are 3 or 4 octave too high or too low!

  • @dexezecho Easy fix go to Global settings and turn of extern sync and then set the BPM manually to your own BPM level

  • @dexezecho I think your key must be held down it right

  • @dexezecho go into global and uncheck external sync ;) :D

  • @dexezecho Yeah it's a bug in Massive VST while using FL Studio, though my laptop doesn't have it, and it's quite new so i guess if you update Massive, it should be fixed.

I have a legal version though, dunno about you ;p

  • @dexezecho Hey I had that problem to but if you go on your lfo and turn sync off and just wobble it with the rate it works fine.

  • @dexezecho I have this problem, you have to uncheck sync in the lfo, it means you have to manually set the dial to the rate you want, but it does fix the problem

  • What plugin is this?

  • who feels like this is a diss on skrillex ?

  • Haha not that I'm exactly a fan of Sonny's music, but this does sound like a sick bass and he has been one of the earlier steps in revolutionising dubstep. Although, some would argue that he's made it 'mainstream'.

Great tutorial man. Earned yourself a sub.

  • lmfao this is why skrillex is shit... make his tunes in 60 seconds

  • why cant all tutorials be this fast, easy to understand and simple good work

  • i used this tutorial and came up with this

    /watch?v=FzuWTpV4tIk

    check it out

  • Woah... Thanks.. I think i kno just how to play with this and make my own bass. I appreciate the help bro

  • how do you play the sounds in massive? is there like a play button?

  • @DGKFingerBoarding You must have some sort of music production software which you use massive as a VST extension for. I use Massive with FLStudio10 and use the piano roll to produce the sound from Massive.

  • video's only 59 seconds, not 60. clearly this guy doesn't know what the fuck he's doing...

  • What program are you using?

  • Can you do something for sytrus? I love finding all these awesome tutorial but then they use Massive...

  • Wow too good.

  • i have a question I'm a noob at dj'ing and kinda broke im using a mixtrak mdmi controller its called the idj3 and i have absolutely no idea what software that is or what i should use to make music with so any pointers in the right direction would be awesome thank you

  • @poppamidnight1 id love to help your out but I'm not familiar with that hardware.

  • @RiskyDub You don't need a midi controller to use a DAW. FL studio is pretty easy to use, I use Ableton Live I just like the feel of it better and you can use it for live mixing/dj as well. Pretty much any DAW will let you map your buttons/knobs on your Newmark to controls in the DAW whether it be Reason, FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic, Pro Tools, etc.

  • @poppamidnight1 This vid has nothing with dj'ing to do, it's about producing, and it's not made with same programs and equipment, download FL Studio and some plugins like massive and start from there, if u wanna dj, mix 2 tracks together or something.

  • @poppamidnight1 You can't make music with a Dj controller and dj software.

  • @poppamidnight1 Download Traktor Pro 2 (search online for a free download with patch), plug in your mixtrack and you should be ready to go. Make sure you have an Asio4all driver on your computer. You can't make songs from scratch using your decks I'm afraid. If you want to make songs download FLStudio or Cakewalk or something along those lines and practice like fuck. I, like yourself are broke and only have a mixtrack pro but with practice you'll get there!

  • @poppamidnight1 DJ'ing is sorta different to what this is. I would call this production, and as far as I know you can't really make songs using that hardware rather "DJ" or mix songs that already exist.

  • @poppamidnight1

Producing and DJ'ing are completely different. For making music, you don't need any external hardware, just a DAW such as FL Studio, Logic, etc. in which you create the music; produce. External hardware for DJ'ing is mainly for playing live.

  • @poppamidnight1 I hear uTorrent makes good free software ;D

  • @poppamidnight1 I recommend using Virtualdj with an idj3 for djing starting out. You might get some hate but i think its a good one to get your feet wet with. Production wise the idj3 wont do much for you. You need a program (ableton live, reason, logic, fl studio) that you are comfortable with. You use one of those softwares to create your music. None of those are cheap tho so you gonna have to get some money, cuz piracy is bad and no one would ever do that ;)

  • @poppamidnight1 look at ableton, fruity loops, cubase, or propellerhead. These are all high end DAWs (music production software), but all can be gotten thru torrents. they are complex programs and will take a long time to figure out. I have had ableton for 2 years and am still figuering new things out about the program :) I no how hard it is to start up in music production, keep trying and don't get too frustrated. Cheers

  • @poppamidnight1 To make music, you need FL Studio, or Ableton live.

  • No Spam intended , judging by the outcome of this tutorial I appreciate the assistance. And I would like to share my music as an appreciation with you "RiskyDub" and everybody here with all due respect. The Title is called "Far Xscape" It has a Dubstep, Electronic Funk to it. Happy Holidays and if not a Happy New Years. And keep making more good videos!

  • yeah man, nice tut.. but idk, im new at music production and working with massive. i created some woobles and put them in my track, but after 2 hours of work, my first wobbles sound different than they sounded before. IDK WHAT HAPPENDED. its like the sounds are cut off or my pc cant handle it, but that couldn be !

  • i did exact as you did but mines dosent wobble it dosent make the wub wub yours does its just a straight note, the sound is right, but it just dosent wobble like yours does :( any help~?

  • FINALLY !!!! THANK YOU ! ive been looking for a quick massive setting demo to show you how to set the foundations for a song and leave it at that and let my imagination and creativity do the rest, till today i had no such luck until i found this video :) subbed!

  • how do you play it back?!?! **IM A NEWB**

  • not playing, why.? I did everything correct and played the notes but there's no sound.

  • Ok here's what I don't understand completely, the wave thing works after I proceeded with your tutorial. How come the "Skrillex" sounds like a flat line when I press the record button or press play to see the progress of my music on the Fl Studio 9 ??Much help would be greatly appreciated

  • @JAYCZero go to your global tab and turn off universal sync. should work.

  • @austinsounds1 Thank you , I'll make sure I'll look into that.

  • I RAPED MY PAUSE BUTTON

  • @festivalpakke it's NI Massive

  • @festivalpakke is Native Insturments - Massive

  • @festivalpakke Native Instruments Massive.

  • @DJCarnag3 Are you using legal copies of the software? If not, that may be the reason you are running into problems. If you are legal, try going the forums and asking for info. What DAW are you using?

  • Thanks man!

  • @Lennydubstep Thanks for watching

  • what software is this?

  • @DrumsReece The Synth is Massive By Native Instruments. The DAW is Logic 9 by Apple

  • yes, my concise brother! well done. thank you.

  • Comment removed

  • Surely if you added a scream filter you'd be closer?

  • @DubPromoUK Im sure there are many things you can do to get closer. This is just a started patch. Thanks

  • Great advice... Really good input and extremely helpful. My biggest struggle is getting the cleeeeeeeaaan mix on a track. Making sure each sound/instrument fits well within the mix is my biggest place for opportunity; Need training.... So, thank you

  • @DecemberShowcase Learn to EQ and use compression, that's the key to a clean track

  • @DecemberShowcase mix listening to everything, not soloing instruments to get picky with how they sound, try synth designing while percussion and all fx are going also

  • @iiceman14 gotcha... Ive started to incorperate Logic's Multimeter to see where frequencies can be uneven and cause a lot of masking

  • @DecemberShowcase Making a tune is like filling a box with sounds. You have to fill the box with an even amount of different frequencies or else it will sound dull. You also cant fill the box with too much of the same frequency or the box will overflow. You need to equalize certain sounds so they fit together like a puzzle; but be careful. When EQing, it is ALWAYS better to REMOVE frequencies than it is to ADD them.

  • @DecemberShowcase thts all in the eq or the high pass/low pass filters each sounds wants to b eq so u dont clash frequencys and the mix will sound muddy

  • You just lied to me

    My clock will seek revenge

  • :O its not 60 seconds its 59! title full of lies

  • dude you just blew my mind in 60 seconds.

  • the quickest dirtiest and the best one.. Risky.. r u the same "ill" one? Loved the tunes.. Big..!!

  • @Sheerrean Yes ill Smith is my current project. Got new tunes in the works.

  • who sees the "black head" video on the right? ewwwwwwww!

  • lol sorry i mean "N" "G"

  • The keys for the sound is "N", "D"

  • um What program is this?

  • @TacoWithTehSauce Massive by Native Instruments ;)

  • @frankydevil1 thanks man i want to start making dubstep as a hobby :) would you prefer it? and its $200 right?

  • I like how I just clicked and I have NO idea what you're talking about... It looks so complicated...

  • The notes you play makes it sound like a mario boss level

  • make your own sounds. be original :)

  • fuuuuuuuuuuck straight man handled

  • what keys are you pressing to play that little thing? lol im to stupid to figure it out haha

  • HELP ! HOW DO YOU PLAY THE SOUND ?!?!?!?!

  • Sweet, thanks man
