No not that, the kick clearance at 23 seconds over 80 minutes. True there is injury time at the refs discretion but it's completely different than Futball's injury time. It's only usually played if a penalty is called or if one team is going forward with the ball. Canada had turned over the ball then kicked it out stopping the Japanese forward progress. So I'm not completely sure why the game wasn't called. Japan played well though and deserved it. But I hate seeing Canada go winless.
The clock displayed on screen was wrong and wasn't displaying the proper game-time. It had failed to stop for a couple of injuries earlier in the game.
The TV clocks had been like that for the whole tournament.
Yup, I've seen this clip from Setanta, Japenese TV, British ITV (both live and in highlights) and French telly. They were all show the same (incorrect) time.
There used to be more World Cup clips from multiple broadcasters so you could compare and check. You'll have to trust me on this.

Injury time. Which is to the ref's discretion.
Usually 2-4 minutes.

There is no such thing as injury time in rugby.

why the ref did not stop the match after that clearance from canada??

You're not allowed to bat the ball out of play. If he'd caught the ball and taken it out with him, it would have been the end of the match.

I'm not sure about that. I remember watching that game from several broadcasters, each went over the full 80 just like this one.

Everyone's clocks were provided by the French host broadcasters. So they were wrong all around the world.

Even Setanta and Sky sports who usually run either off each other, or their own systems?
