you lived, congrats, personally I would have opted to land a little further down the runway and allow more space between my aircraft and the obstacles. A little wind gust and your airspeed drops and so does the airplane, just a little mind you, and WHAMMMO, there are your obstacles that you are flying over.... right in your windscreen. I guess there are about as many opinions as there are pilots, but I don't think it was that impressive. More of a pilot demonstrating a lack of good judgement.
Think of this, you're sitting in a little cessna, and the pilot just does it for scaring you to death, he screams: What the fuck is that? NO NO, FUCK FUCK! then he turns the aircraft to a tight left turn xD
Ok, its close to wires, but i see agricultural aircrafts like EMB-202 and pilots flying below power wires (4m) and passing about 1 to 2 meters above trees! This is amazing! You must see! And this guys flying in this condition almost everyday in south Brazil.
nicely done. obstacle clearance landing 101 right there. did u even flare? looks like u flew it onto the runway.you put her down betteer than i couldve proabably. nice job
ULTIMATE AIR ACADEMY, INC Currently has five (5) airplanes. Three of them are active, two of them are down for paint job. We have C172P/GPS for as low ($75/h), C172SP as lwo as ($100/h), Cessna 152 as low as ($55/h) and Beechcraft Duchess BE-76 Multi Engine as low as (*$100/h). *The multi Engine price is "DRY" the rest of them include everything like gas, maintenance, insurance, etc (TAXES EXCLUDED). Those prices is a limited time offer... ...Take advantage as soon as you can!
The pilot of this video sadly passed away August 2009. We miss you so much dad, you made us all so proud. Night night pa28flyer.... fly those planes in heaven, See you when we get there. xxxxx
Yes it is, I presume you have been there to work it out from that angle.
If you have not flown from there yet come along and see Andy, he will soon get you up there so you can do it for yourself (if you have not done it already)
I don't know the exact price, luckily I have not had to have lessons very often for a number of years now, just check flights which are not quite the same. His prices are certainly lower than average, it would be well worth either a visit or a phone call to check.
It wasn't actually a lesson, one of the instructors and I were just playing with the aircraft. I have a better version taken by one of my passengers on a different occasion when I get time to sort it out. The video exposure is better on the other version although the weather is not as it is raining!
Well spotted, yes that was an intentional touch 'n' go. I still do them from time to time when the wind is in the right direction just for the practice of getting in over the wires. I have another video taken more recently of this approach that is better quality, when I get a few minutes I will post it. It has full land, taxi and park plus a comment from a relieved passenger.
They certainly are but it is a good way to stay sharp. This is a nice little runway. Power lines, trees, and buildings one end. Wind shear, trees, more power lines at the other. A hump in the middle and waterlogged when it rains. Great fun!!
Unfortunately the camera was on auto exposure and was setting itself for inside the cockpit so a lot of the outside is over exposed but you still get the general idea. Version 2 will be along soon with better picture quality but worse weather!
Uh, how about just approach from the nice clean opposite direction? Even if the wind wasn't right, would be far safer.

more like an obstacle coarse - I wouldn't want to come in at night with those high voltage lines there ready to fry anything that gets near them
