I like this Ann Darrow better cause she doesn't always scream and faint every single time she sees Kong. The original is just a typical Beauty that has no understanding of the poor Beast. One ridiculous thing about this movie (and the old one) is that they forget that the ISLAND IS FULL OF FUCKING DINOSAURS!.. The whole island should be the eight wonder of the earth.

@sebbeas123 Thank you sir for commenting on the one aspect that rarely ever gets answered: Kong's Skull Island was a veritable living museum with a menagerie of dinosaurs and other unknown creatures, why bring back just a giant gorilla when there was so much to chose from? I know Kong followed Jack and Ann back to the great wall and that's why the ape was captured so easily, but Carl Denham never mentions in this remake or the 1933 original that Skull Island had dinosaurs

things that were right in this movie: 1930's New York. beautiful recreation. Skull Island. needed more dinosaurs. Kong on top of the Empire State Building. you know what's coming and it is sad.
what's wrong: too much time on the boat and the subplot with Jimmy that goes nowhere. Kong not kicking the crap out the pterodactyls. the ridiculous swinging on the rope in the never ending spider pit sequence, not enough dinos.

i love this movie, i love the orignal one too it was a masterpiece. this one brought so much life to king kong and seeing him get shot by those gunners in the plane and seeing his face looking at the girl made me so sad, it actually made my eyes watery, no movie has ever done that to me. Peter jackson's amazing. I dont care about that crappy 70s remake, The Orignal and the 2005 King Kong are both masterpieces

He wanted to keep her and protect her to admire her. It's like this-- Don't you have something, you wouldn't want to lose? That's Ann to Kong.

I like this Ann Darrow better cause she doesn't always scream and faint every single time she sees Kong. The original is just a typical Beauty that has no understanding of the poor Beast. Especially when Kong took shots for her. Yes I can understand that it is terrifying in front of a giant gorilla but this was a gentle giant when it comes to her. I like 1933 as the original but I like 2005 because of the bond between Beauty and Beast. 1976 was OK too between Ann and Kong not as good as 2005.

King Kong, or "The huge sucess of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy gave me the opportunity to imbue my version of the beloved 1930's classic with plenty of needless subplots and characters that go nowhere" In the end Jackson's kong was fair, it had marvelous visuals, a great opening montage of depression-era New York, but i'll stick with Jurassic Park thank you.
