what i dont get is that none of the super gt supras are 2jz powered. they are all usaully all v8's and the castrol supra was a four cylinder turbo. they should have a 2jzgte powered supra for the super gt. thats just me tho

The V8's are more suited to racing than the turbo six's, in more ways than just how they make power.

@AEdgar86 It's actually the rules and regulations demands every single GT500 competitor to use V8 with no greater than 3.4L N/A engine. Also no Mid engine configurations as well. And what you've seen with the Castrol sponsor Supras was much earlier racing years when Supras was originally equipped with 3S-GTE then switch to 4.5L V8 to now 3.4L V8

@gekko101 Lol we got plenty of good road racing in america, dont need to remove nascar for it. Should check out the American Le mans series & Grand Am sports car racing. And its thats not good enough and you still want more road racing, try watching the new FIA gt1 series. They post full race vids online and its some of the worlds top manufacturers racing against each other.

JGTC is now Super GT... and yes this is the only form of racing I follow now. Cause F1 is just boring, and WTCC is boring as well cause all I see is Chevy, Seat and BMW. Not true to it's World Touring title at all.

@Frencherossa Seen them all, BTCC is good, but Lemans ALMS just plan boring and DTM is just another boring series, I like it better back in the 90's where at least more than 2 manufacturer is involve, same with the LM series again just 2 main manufacturer racing for LMP1, then it's another 2 for GT1, and then Ferrari and that squashed beetle brand for GT2 = boring

@eggfromsywell Yeah, very close racing indeed. And it's still staying true to Unibody with full on cage. Which means lots of handling flaw.... which is awesome to watch cause they slide around, little bit of bumping, tight passing. And Australia have some awesome layout track too. But I miss those Super Touring series back in the 90's thou.... where Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Vauxhall, BMW, Volvo, Alfa racing 2.0L sequential shift high reving small saloons.... Super tight super fun too......
