They're called defaults, i'm using ones of MTS2. They're awesome, they overwrite the maxis ones, i have custom skins for aliens, vamps, and normal sims. I have custom eyes too as defaults, they're handy things.

question: how can u change skintone or eye color (custom) on a sim that is already in the game like Dina for example

You have to download a skintone/eye color which is made to a default :) that way, all your original maxis eye color's/skintones will be that paticular skintone/eye color, no matter what. Luckily you can delete the files if you want the originals back xD

@emry7 if you'll go to modthesims2 click register, then click on search, there will be search downloads, type replacement then enter, there you'll find lots of skintones and eyes, click on the download whom you want, click download, when its done go to winrar and search for that download, then you press on download box, click extract to, there you'll find documents - (double-lclick), and then ea games - (double-lclick), you'll see sims 2 (double-lclick) and click on downloads then ok.

Some creators make that type of skins and even townfied and geneticized skins so that way when you download it it will automacally change and it will be "town friendly". The eyes are the same in modthesims com or even the garden of shadows there are plenty of those.
