So uncanny and sad, the finish up on the 30th anniversary to the day of our National Airways Corporation, which unfortunately merged into Air NZ, ceasing to exist after March 31, 1978, being Air New Zealand the next day. The Funbird scheme reminded me of the final NAC 737 livery, red and orange cheatline. NAC had flown for 31 years, half of Aloha's existance. I hope the Funbird 737-200 is statically preserved as a themed bar/cafe etc as a shrine to Aloha, it'd be a travesty in full if not.

Yeh, JT8D which powers 732s and Dc9s, MD82s is has one of the best reputations for reliability and serviceability.
