I uninstalled so many programs, but my ram was still between 40 and 50%, I never knew certain sites you visit just downloads unnecessary crap to your computer to waste ram. But again thanks for your help. I cleared my Browsing history, chache, cookies, etc and I gained my GB back! Now my ram is like at 32% which is good in my case.

Thanks! Visiting certain sites also downloads unnecessary files, like what you said. it even happens on google chrome. I freed up my my hard disk of unnecessary files and gained 4GB. Then I lost a few GB from my hard disk after searching the web for a few days,weeks or so. Then i had to to do what you did clear up your browsing data, chache, cookies etc. You only lose a GB's or so if you have a lot of browsing history. I had Browsing history for like a month or so. Thats why my ram was 40-50%

Even if it doesn't work well for you, you can use it as a secondary browser in case google chrome has a problem starting up or something like that.

I have IE9 and I did not test out if it is fast or slow, but I have heard that it is slow.. IE just really sucks, a time ago, it did not even start up.. Google Chrome never has problems with starting up... And Firefox would be even better as secondary browser than Internet Explorer..

@littlejumpfreak When you use the System Restore feature, the only thing you risk losing are the items that weren't saved in the last System Restore checkpoint. For example, if you download a game today, and no SR checkpoint was created, and your computer received a virus, or anything like that, you would only retain everything prior to you downloading the game. Of course, it is possible to create your own restore point as well!

Hard drive space can be a peculiar thing! one minute you have 240mb next there's virtually nothing there! its like the Bermuda triangle there's no way of knowing where all the space is going, I have deleted so much stuff and uninstalled loads of programmes and the hard drive space just goes down and down! I had gig's of stuff at one point and still space to spare!
