Go watch Suspiria, the movie by Dario Argento and you'll see what Venom really were all about. Their use of satanic themes and oversaturated lighting created an atmosphere of foreboding. They did this first. Other bands took it farther but this is pure genius. Do not compare Venom to "hair bands". This is much cooler.

I gave up on newer styles of music in the mid 90's.
