nesses f-throw gets progressively weaker as his opponent has a higher percentage and his b-throw gets stronger. At zero percent ness has the strongest throw being his f-throw. at higher percentages he has the strongest throw being his b-throw.
Let's take into account that the player dodging the PKF still has his 2nd jump, then he will jump and do an aerial thus stopping you from hitting them with your fair/dair/etc..
This still wouldn't work, with airdodging and anyone that knows how to smash DI.. Just smash DIa 1-2 times to the left and you'll be out of the damn thing.. -.-

So you base this on one simple player.. Besides you can just meteor cancel that anyways.. so.. meh.. I don't wanna argue against people that can't think straight..
First, it wasn't based off one simple player, it was based off many professional players. THERE IS NO METEOR CANCEL IN BRAWL, only less or more spike lag, depending on the spike and the % the person hit is at. Ness has the strongest spike, which cna kill anyone on every neutral. You're the one who can't think straight.
Exactly. Ness' D-air is the most potant in the game for meteor smashes. Not the strongest, but sends you down the quickest and stuns you the longest. You get hit with that, it's curtains for you.
@ExLXanga yea ganon does have the strongest spike and its very fast, ness' spike is one of the best in the game if the spike hits some as the animation begins they get spiked down, if it sourpoints (the opposite of sweppoint) they get large horizontal knockback, ganon has one if the best too.
this is a really awesome tech, but how would u land it on any other char besides snake/shiek/dk since pretty much every other char moves around a bit to get on the stage.
oh, and u were playing a bot, thats another thing.
not saying this is a useless vid by any means, just wondering if it would be able to be used in real battles
yoshi and marth are the only two that I haven't yet hit it on. Yoshi because he's hard to stop during his jump, and Ness has a lot better options in edge-guarding for yoshi.
Marth because his up-b comes out in 1 frame. So even if you catch him, he can up-b out of the fire before you hit him.
_______
It is relatively dificult though, because you need to figure out how the second jump and the up B for each character works in order to be able to pull this off.
If you are B-sticked, there are dozens of slight variations to this tech that I can't explain in writing. You'll just have to take my word when I say it works :P at least I can get it to work =)

well it is fairly obvious that you would have to bait/mindgame them into it, just like anything else in brawl

If you could just meteor cancel it, why didn't Gimpy do that then? I mean Gimpy's a professional.

"Ness has the strongest spike,"
i think ganondorf has the strongest spike :P
ExLXanga 3 years ago 22
Ganondorf has the stronger spike on damages 165+ I believe.
Zolio6 3 years ago
But I can just meteor cancel that!
CloneHat 3 years ago
There is no meteor cancel in brawl.
A durr.
Zolio6 3 years ago
That was meant to be a sarcastic reply who said Ganondorf had a strong spike at 150% or something.

Ness's Spike kills faster, while Ganondorf's is stronger. can easily spike at 17%+ damage with ness

look for Cazcom VS. Gimpyfish he did it like twice.
goodeats4life 3 years ago
Why wouldn't it? Mid-air PK Fires are excellent for edge-guarding, the spike is just an add-on. People who use Ness a lo would already now this.
chazjo 3 years ago
does it matter if it's not viable against the entire cast?
marth's chainthrows are only good against spacies ;)
xRisingForcex 3 years ago

cazcom 3 years ago
understandably so :\
i just hope this doesn't become super widespread as a viable combo
cuz then people are gonna easily implement ways around this into their recoveries, since you can airdodge 23483240923 times in brawl :\

WindOwl 3 years ago
That was cool, did you have the damage ratio set to 2.0? Cuz I don't think Ness' F-throw can throw Snake that far at 0%...
panique365 3 years ago
nothing was altered. Ness's throws are just too good.
cazcom 3 years ago 3
Ness' f-throw has set knockback. It will always send the opponent the same distance.
Itaki0 3 years ago
Isn't it the lower the damage the further they go? and the opposite with Back Throw
MeleeYaMum 3 years ago
@panique365 also pyhycic throws are stronger than normal throws( if thats how you spell that word anyways XD)
