Hahaha.. That's like a clone of my degu. It's so nice when you can touch them and they don't freak out! :)

Yes, they are friendly pets :)
If your degu is alone, get another degu so they can keep company. Degus are very social and usually dont do well for long when kept alone.

my degu, davey, does the exact same thing when i scratch his chin like that. davey likes being handled too.

Yup, some like being handled but most dont.
Mine got used to it :) Ginger and Accorn like being picked up and scratched, Nutmeg doesnt...everytime I put my hand down in front of her she is like "No way" and just ignores me :)
They are all different.

Who knew they like being scratched? Ours don't seem to like being handled too much.
I love the little chirping sounds they make.
