One of our favorite characters in Eternal Champions of all time. If Sega would've made that 3rd game of the Eternal Champions, then one of characters would've been confirmed in the Mortal Kombat 9 game in the DLC.
Something remarkable about this game and character. I played this when I was maybe 14. Read the character bio and his system is JKD... Then I started to get interested in it. And now I train in Jeet Kune Do. All cuz of eternal champions and Midknight! Awesome character and a great fighting system!
i love this guy but i dont no how 2 play with him but my brother freaking do n he beats the crap out of me when he picks him :( i ask my brother how he using him like that and all my bro say is "im not telling u b/c he is one of my favorite characters".
Indeed, vamps can be found in strange places and equally strange times, but what I really find trippy is the music...It almost reminds me of something from a '70s Peace Corps or Army commercial lol
@W0BN1AR That's true. So, logically, they gave him a laboratory with a malfunctioning oversized X-Ray machine in the sequel instead. That suits him a lot more. But Vietnam? In the first place, I still wonder...why?
@Astroman9991 he was a scientist working on a plague to use against the vietcong i assume, except it backfired, turned him into a vampire and created all sorts of vampires in pretty much all of the 3rd world parts of asia.
@W0BN1AR So, he's a London scientist who worked in Asia, and works and fights in the sunlight? I still prefer the sequel's stage; he was killed in London (in the Big Ben clock tower?)
@Astroman9991 I guess he was a freelancer or in this fictional world, the British government was involved in the Vietnam war in some way. I really don't know how it was supposed to work. Sadly this is a dead franchise and we'll never really know.
Midknight was my character of choice in this (unfortunately) lost gem of a game. His story was enthralling, his taunt was fucking awesome, he was just shit cool all 'round.
his stage is in vietnam, every time I hear this song I think of that horrific war and the tragedies that came thereafter. It adds to the nostalgic feeling.
As much as I like this song + stage for Midknight, I also loved his laboratory stage in ET-CD with the crazy Mortal Kombat theme sounding techno song. That shit is the bomb.
@LilCyco223 what a "PIG" calling me that, you "PUNK" I bet you're a real "LOSER" you "WIMP" seesh... "SIMPLETONs" these days "FREAK" and you're a real "AWARGHGARGH!!!" (Slash's taunt lol)
This was perhaps some of the best game music I've ever heard. I just rediscovered it today, and am going to listen over and over. Great game and great soundtrack.
While both are good, I did really like the Sega CD OST. I do think it's slightly superior overall to the Genesis OST, but it's like comparing 2 fine wines as far as old school fighting game music goes.
Mitchell Midleton Knight was basically turned into a living vampire when he was exposed to a chemical weapon he created, then had second thoughts about - he fell into a chemical vat and the seal on the vial broke.
The government used the contents of the vat, and of course, every third world country became overrun with vampires.
He spent a century trying to find the cure, all the while rotting away because he refused to kill anyone to prolong his life.
@mkandkiftw Feels like every character's background story is like that. One major discovery/breakthrough from making something epic happen, and someone comes along and effs it up for everybody.
I remember playing this game when I was little and I LOVED this music!! I can't believe I found it and I was doing the beats with the music...oh yes!!!
anyone know what time signature this song plays in? it seems to go from 3/4 to 7/8 to 4/4 ?

@Zaners
the best part about it is that the characters' fighting styles are all real martial arts. this I found to be very cool.

The music is better quality, but the original version is very catchy and doesn't sound like it's out of a strip club, or just sound effects.

I wouldve loved to hear Arranged versions of the original themes in the Sega CD game that would be awesome

He was killed JUST before he found it.
