  • I remember hearing that on the news and i feel so sorry for the man who died in this crash

  • Veer is da dutch plane dat makes duh money ven da pigs arnt!!Vat iz diss..No making money!!

  • My farm is about half a mile away from there and I can remember seeing the plane go down over the hills and then smoke rising it was just truly horrible :(

  • i heard his last words using a radio- i was only like 10 its the worst thing u can hear- R.I.P

  • @CandDhiphoptv What did he say?

  • @rrrohan2288 Your a Prat

  • all you can say is. i hope it was quick

  • live in Lancing, sad to see, even after all this time

  • Bad day indeed, I'm sure he died doing what he loved to do and that's all that any of us can ask!!

  • R.I.P.

  • Thanks to hero pilots like brian there are air shows for us to visit. I saw B B doll crash at duxford thank god one one was badly hurt hhow the pilot managed to bail out in time i will never know.....

  • i was there! Saw it all even some of the wreckage, horrible way to die :<

  • i live round the corner from there :O

  • Tragic.

  • does not say what caused him to crash

  • I like how the rest of the dog fighters went into the missing man formation

  • If there's one crowd guaranteed to turn out, it's gawpers at an accident.

  • man i remember that day i worked there :'(

  • I was there. In the actual airfield part. He went into a 'flip' and was going to be very close to the people illegally sitting near the Sussex Pad on the hill. So as he came down the turned away from them losing the precious altitude. If the people hadn't been on the hill Brian would not have lost his life on this day. He went out a hero saving the lives of many people as opposed to putting them all in danger. R.I.P.

  • @TwistItMissedIt No disrespect intended, not in the very least - but if whether there are people on the ground or not makes a pilot do something hasty and crash his plane - doesn't that mean he was well outside the "safe" envelope to begin with?

  • Nice Range Rover 6x6 fire engine there

  • @SamTheSuave look them up. They are ex-RAF Rapid Intervention Vehicles. they are called TACR2s.. no longer in use in the military....all got sold off to private fire services/airports and collectors.

  • I was on duty that day wi wsfr horrible day R.I.P

  • It wasn't a 109, it was a Hawker Hurricane, I've seen it before on Airshow 100.

Such a shame to loose such a passionate guy like Brian. RIP

  • RIP

  • he ran out altitude, airspeed and ideas all at the same time

  • A shamefull loss of both pilot and aircraft.

  • which 109 was this?

  • @bhm1712 its not really a 109 its a Messerschmitt Buchon G2, Based at the airfield

  • very sad

  • Sorry, my bad, I thought it was like color film of W.W.II or something.

  • WTF?! He was shot down by the German plane or what?

  • @Rentaghost76 This was an airshow, do you really think they were fighting ?

  • @Rentaghost76 cmon, dont be stupid

  • He will be in our hearts like all the fallen angles before. I did not know him, but he certainly was one of a few.

  • a bit to much of an reenactment

  • i volunteer with security and RAFA control and he was killed instantly not injured!

  • and the show goes on...

  • God bless his soul,,,,

  • this upsets me because my uncle used to be mates with brian brown sometimes i used to see him with my uncle and it is wierd knowing he was in that plane and this is when he lost his life

  • i was there

he died. he was also a pilot in a james bond film.

  • sad event :-(

  • A damn shame.

  • Also, 'heavily' is used in reference to objects such as "the aircraft was heavily damaged." When a person is involved, the phrase most commonly used is "seriously injured".

  • he wasnt heavily injured he died

  • Too absurd and ridiculous to warrant serious refutation Camel. Now have your precious last invective word (which I shall not read) then go and retrieve your teddy.

  • Why go to these airshows? To watch priceless aircraft and their pilots kill themselves? All low-level aerobatics by all WWII aircraft at airshows should be banned. Straight-and-level-flybys..ok. But that's it. End this aerobatics stuff by these old antiques. EVERY YEAR WE LOSE ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL WARBIRD AND PILOT. AND FOR WHAT? EGO? ENOUGH!!! I aint' goin' to these shows no more.

  • yeah ..you might as well stay home .

  • @tradbgon dont go to any then, and stop fucking moaning, we go to see them cus there amazing, and u obv havnt flown b4 because if u have ud no that flying is just an unreal feeling.

  • @tradbgon the way you see things is wrong, and your comment is outrageous, you don't lose a btf plane and a pilot... you lose a brave man, an artist,a mentor and sometimes a friend, the plane does not matter but a life is priceless and what we do out there is probably beyond your imagination, aerobatics are about art, perfection, competition and inspiring new generations. Those who died will live forever in our harts.

  • @tradbgon Fuck you.Warbids did dogfighting at those levels a lot during the wars. Get used to seeing them fly like that that low. It doesn't usually end this way.

  • Just a simple mistake, following the roll of the lead plane but over rising ground and just not enough hight, a great guy and friend

  • What exactly happened??

  • hi eezy I just gave you the thunbs up to show i do not hold a grudge just thought you may like to know the facts, Brian was a friend and was far from a show off, he just made a mistake, thankfully for most of us that make a mistake, we can just walk away, not so easy if your lower than you think in 4 tons of old plane, wishing you and everyone on youtube a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

God Bless "Brownie" Memories are Better than Dreams.

  • Fcuk me, two ignorant twats in one place, dutchvolvofan for ripping the video off and posting it then saying Brian was heavily injured and eezy1972 for thinking he was showing off in some way.

The accident was caused by carrying out an unplanned manouver over rising ground, robing him of about 300ft and if you ever get to see the film footage you will see Brian flicked the hurricane back to his right, away from people watching from a place he may just have walked away from after crashing.

  • 'Message from ignorant twat.' The accident was down to pilot error so showing off would be a contributary factor!

  • The Pilot got killed i was there

  • @madmax445 mee to 4 years ago? woah

  • i worked at shoreham airport for 6 months i had free tickets for that year, worst day of my life, but one thing for sure he died doing something he loved...

  • Fuck you dude. The show was to entertain the audience.

  • I was in the VIP section when it crashed. Some people thought that when it when over the tree line that it was part of the show. Everyone stopped when they saw the black smoke.

  • my dad flys the helicopter that you see landing at the crash sceen

  • @mattpettett your dad in the RAF then?

  • i watched this happen from about 3 miles behind it i was pigeon shooting ontop of a hill an i see him go up thn he went down behind a hill thn bang an laods of smoke

  • the pilot wasn't heavily injured, he was killed. His name was Brian Brown.

  • the pilot died he was a stunt pilot from the james bond movies

  • oooooooooooh cool westland heli

  • @RedPanther1 wheres the Westland heli?

  • So why did it crash?

  • who knows

  • not enough air speed
