I wish more people would spend a little extra and buy Cooper, General, Good Year, etc. These people go to the Asian brands like Nitto and Toyo because they're cheaper. How the hell do we alow the Asian companies to come into our market and undercut our own brands??? Unacceptable.
Got these on my 4x4 ranger. Love how they throw mud, water and snow. There is light road noise and a lot at a slow turn. But thats what i wanted. I'm off road everyweekend. Got about 3000 miles now. Fast gravel roads, sharp rocks. Nothing wrong with them yet. Will see! Love the traction i'm getting thus far.
I was thinking about getting a set of these but i've heard they kick rocks real bad and are slick on ice. I live in the midwestern U.S. does anybody know how they hold up in that terrain? Do they wear fast?
@TheJD8650 they kick rocks bc they got rock ejectors design.....every tire is slick on ice man rubber vs. ice.....doesnt mix.........and if you take care of them...balance and rotate when due they will last but on heavy trucks 2500 and bigger they dont last long on lighter vehicle like a jeep or midsize truck they last a long time
you have to look at where the tire is made. these tires are manufactured in multiple countries. Some last about 20k miles crappy and some last around 60k very good. It all depends on where they are made. I think this particular tire is made in three different countries.
I've put over 40k ('03 Chevy Avalanche) on these tires & worn them down too nothing driving in all 4 seasons... Still the best tire I have ever owned. I live in the snow belt of Upstate NY, awesome in the snow-not talking inches, but feet of snow here. Never been stuck in the mud & have had them aired down to 8PSI on the sand dunes of Cape Cod along the Atlantic Ocean-again no issues. A bit laud on the highway, but to be expected with the aggressive tread cut. Looking too repurchase another set.
so my duramax needs new tires but i cant decide if i want the stt or the s/t-c, ill be on highway half the time daliy driving and hauling heavy loads and the other between gravel and mud, im a farmer so i need good tires thatll get the job done so what would u pick?
@countryman403 neither go with firestone transforce AT they are tough tires for bigger trucks even firestone destination MT are a good tire for heavy trucks
These tires are really good, I've hade some for my 05 GMC 2500hd, i had no problem with to, I hade them on for two years, n tried some Mickey Thompson baja claws. But i still like the discoverer stt better,, I have to get another set
Hey big josh youre a fucking idiot ive had these tires on my truck for 5 years (55,000miles) never had a problem with them and never been stuck ...........i actually just bought a new set and trying to kill my old ones they just wont die!
Those tires suck, my friend put brand new one on his 1999 dodge ram 2500 summer of '09 and i had worn out khumos on my 1986 f150 and i could still go places he couldnt. Plus, all 4 tires are completely bald and hes only had them 10 months
@bigjoshc92 Of course you didn't get stuck. You drive a Ford and he drives a worthless Dodge! I had a 03 Focus and I could not keep tires on that car. However, I know a few people who have the same car and have no trouble with short tire life. I think there are many factors at play that will determine how long the tires last. For me I am sure the aggressiveness of my driving was one of the many reasons my tires failed to last very long. Just my two cents!
I have a set of 35/s on my ranger very happy with them thanks

I wont ever buy these tires again! 9K miles they are chunking out, and around 40% left. Did good in the snow but that was about it.
