  • awesome burnout, it kept smoking like crazy even when you let off the brakes!

  • my rx7 would smoke yours!

  • @221Satoshi221 post some vids of your rx7 :D

  • @221Satoshi221 you smoke alot of things

  • Let me know where you get a real skyline for 10k lol

  • LOL, at the queers commenting below me, if i recal its not the 90's mazdas selling at autions for six digit #'s no its real american muscle and high end european cars not shitty asian auto's why dont you go race a go-cart with your corolla, fags

  • Because tuners cost less to make and are made better is why they sell for less. I can get a Skyline that would rape a brand new Corvette no problem for ten grand.

This burnout is weak and the engine sounds awful. Where's my 20b at...

  • lol, a skyline beet a 09 vette, um i dont think any skyline for 10g can beet a 425hp vette with a top speed of 177mph let alone the 505 hp zo6 well capable of over 190mph or even the 648hp ZR1 with a top speed of slightly over 205mph, i doubt any nissan can do that not to mention the high quallity materials the car is made out of like the engine and body, plus the ZR1 weighs less than any skyline ever built, but i will completely agree with you if you had said mustang in place of corvette.

  • Go look up RX-7 vs Z06. And that's a 1.3L engine, mind you.

My buddy's Skyline does well over 320. We can't find enough road in our province to keep it going longer than that. You "doubt". You don't know anything about tuners, quite apparently. I wouldn't open your mouth about them until you do some research. C6 3352lbs. Skyline GTR 3146lbs. Thats a third gen too, btw. So again I suggest you do some research before acting like you know something. Because quite apparently it wont get you far.

  • Your full of crap. A c6 does NOT weigh 3350 lbs, and a skyline is not going to weigh 3146lbs. You have it totally backwards. Unless someone put an ironblock in the C6, and you stripped everything out of the GT-R.

God I hate people who spout crap without knowing the facts.

  • Um, okay. Go find me where it says it's lighter than that stock. You'll have to PM me the URL when you do find it. Which you won't. Because a stock C6 weighs 3350 lbs. Again, go find me where a Skyline is heavier than that, PM me the URL. Again, you will not find this info. Those are the weights of both cars, plain and simple.

  • Base Price-TBD. Drivetrain-RWD. Curb Weight (lbs) 3208. City (MPG) 16 (2009)City (MPG)15 (2009)Hwy (MPG)26 (2009)Hwy (MPG)25 (2009) Horsepower-436 @ 5900.

That was taken from a 2010 C6 LS3 Coupe. 3208 lbs is STILL more than the Skyline.

The BASE model of the 95-98 Skyline's were 3395. They're quite a bit lighter now. Either way, that's all stock. A Skyline/RX-7, any tuner really, would tear the crap out of the LS series engines and anything they were put in. Especially against a rotary.

  • I already sent you a link. The curb weight on a base C6 is 3179 lbs. The curb weight of an R34 GT-R V-spec is 3439 lbs.

Guys are running 700rwhp out of stock bottom end LS1's. LS2's even higher. A stock bottom end RB26 is going to have trouble once you get into the 600's.

You're 24, you probably have never even owned ANY of these cars. I own a blown C5 corvette, a streetport FD, and an SR20 S13 coupe. Been there, done that. Go back to magazine racing kid.

  • I already read it. Idk where you got that info. It's bullshit lmao. Don't believe everything you read on Google, man. Where you think I got my info? At least mine was from a trusted site. I've never heard of either of the other two.

"How much horsepower does a stock 2000 ls1 camaro have?"

"Ok this is tricky.... the factory says 310.....but i have lots of friends that have dynoed in at 335hp stock at the crank......i think they are underrated.....for insurance reasons maybe"

  • I don't know about Camaros, but C5's came with 345hp/360tq in 97-00. In 01, they had 350hp/375tq(6spds). They dynoed about 290rwhp/300tq bone stock. With 7.5psi and headers, my '00 LS1 made 480rwhp/450rwtq on a VERY safe tune and has been daily driven 14k miles in two years with boost(122k miles total now on bone stock engine and drivetrain).

Trust me. R32-R34 GT-R's do NOT weigh less than a corvette. Iron blocks and 4WD cannot be lighter than aluminum blocks and RWD. It's physics.

  • Either way dude. It's 4WD. More grip, they ARE lighter.. They're all around better. The other thing is, that Mazda is producing the 16x soon, which is a 1.6L engine that will put out 280 horsepower NA.

    Btw, I just found this:

    RB26DETT Z2

.......The end result was the RB28Z2, which produces 510 bhp (368 kW) and 371 ft/lb. So I don't see how it would have troubles in the 600s like you say...

  • RB26DETTZ2

This is the engine used in the Nissan Skyline GT-R Z-Tune. It uses the stronger RB26 N-1 block, modified with Nismo parts, bored and stroked to 2.8 L (87.0 x 77.7 mm). The end result was the RB28Z2, which produces 510 bhp (368 kW) and 540 N·m of torque

you're talking about a stronger block than factory, that's been stroked. It shares almost nothing with the original RB26.

I make 30 more bhp and 130 more ft/lb torque with less boost and better gas mileage with an OEM Engine!

  • The RB26DETT N1 is a modified version of the RB26DETT engine, developed by Nismo (Nissan Motorsports) for Group A and Group N motorsport.

So you're talking about an engine built for racing that's been stroked. You can't compare that to a mass-produced engine built for the street.

And HOW IN THE HELL is 4wd lighter than RWD???? That makes NO SENSE! Where did you learn this crap?

  • You can't get 700 horse out of a stock engine. Stock is stock which is 335 AT CRANK. Did another search: Gross Horsepower 310 @ 5200 RPM, 320 @ 5800 RPM.

And please don't tell me you meant the engine is stock and that they're getting 700 with turbos. Because that's pathetic if so. There are 1.3L 13B Wankels driving around here that put out 800 MINIMUM.

  • I said stock bottom end. That's rods, pistons, and crankshaft being the OEM non forged parts. Do you not understand what bottom end means on an engine?

You will not make those numbers out of a non ported Rotary. Can't do it. My streetport made 326rwhp on 15psi with '99 spec twin turbos. You need a bridgeport once you start getting into the crazy numbers, and the car CANNOT be daily driven once you start going crazy with the rotary.

  • Um, okay. Nothing's impossible dude. And believe me, I've seen them. Streetport instantly adds 20% power. you're me you only got 260.8 with TT? Secondly, what was TT doing on your 13B? Let alone a 13B-REW? You'll get far more power out of a single turbo dude.

  • Well obviously a big single turbo will produce more, I was going for power-band. I wanted more power in lower RPMS than a big single would have given me. While I've been messing with this rotary trying to keep it reliable these past 3 years, i've been driving the piss out of my supercharged C5 for the past 2 years. I really wish my FD has an LSX instead. It would be a far superior car. I've experienced what both engines have to offer. The rotary just isn't for me anymore I'm burnt out.

  • Gay. I just hate it when people bash it because "it's too expensive". GET A JOB. You know how many people would flock to a rotary over a piston engine if they knew lots about both engines? LS1 like you say are a dime a dozen. That's exactly why rotaries take the cake. You don't see them. They sound different. They make crazy power for their size/weight class. I can't wait for the 16x. I wanna see what kinda torque it puts out. Here's hoping it's 200+ eh.

  • I've been working since before you were legal to drive... It's not getting a job that's a problem. It's the fact that some of us want to actually be smart with how we spend our money.

Who cares if an LS1 is a dime a dozen? It's a proven high performance platform. It's the most swapped engine in today's world for any application.

I applaud people who stick with the rotary. Just don't turn your noses at those of us who gave it a chance, and replaced it with something better.

  • Hahaha. I just read the girlfriend comment now. I don't have a girlfriend. I'd rather have a rotary ;)

  • Smart man. They're cheaper to rent believe it or not. At the end of the day, your car won't cheat on you, won't care if you drive someone else's car, and you can trade her in on a newer model!

    hahaha

  • I guess by anyones** standards. Just woke up, excuse me.

  • Forcefed Racing****

  • For every 800rwhp Rotary on the road, there's 20 800rwhp LSX motors. Once I throw a forged motor in my corvette, I'm looking for 700rwhp on 10psi without meth and 91 octane and daily driven. The V8's don't need 30-40psi to make crazy power, we do it on 10-20. Hell if you're making 20psi with a V8, you're in the 800-100rwhp easy.

  • That's not true at all, for one. For two, one of those two is a 1.3L engine, the other is not. One is a rotary, the other is not. I've never heard of a Wankel needing 30-40psi to get crazy power either. The engine is the definition of crazy power.

  • I gave you an example. I needed 15psi to make 400bhp out of my streetport 1.3l 13b-REW with the newer and better 1999 RX7 twin turbos, 3" downpipe, 3" HKS exhaust, Greddy intake, and Blitz side-mount intercooler. If I wanted to make over 500bhp I would need over 20psi.

  • Yeah you shoulda had an HKS T80 or something in there. That'll give you the higher numbers. 500 is quite easy. Once you get into the 6-700s it starts getting harder to add power. And I wouldn't be driving that as a daily driver either. I'd shoot for 550 in a 13B-REW for a daily.

  • Well it's been fun debating car stuff, but it's 12:30am and I have to be at work in a few hours. Sucks as I'm without both cars right now. The FD is having the motor/drivetrain pulled(friend bought it off me), and the C5 is getting mini-tubbed so I can run 18x12 wheels without getting fender flares. These cars are all money pits. Almost as bad as girlfriends. ;)

  • My GXL is having it's internals worked on as well. My buddy bought it from a used dealership, and it's been pissing oil for ages. The tranny was redone but they never fuckin looked at the engine and it pisses me off as to how they could see it but not wanna fix it. People who go "no I won't touch that" because they don't know anything about it. The hardest part is timing it and you don't even have to go that far with this one. It was just 2 cracked injectors, and the alternators shot.

  • Dealers suck. I don't care who owns them. There's a Chevy dealership 10 miles from me, that I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. Work on it yourself if you have access to the tools and time. You'll learn how things work and save yourself a lot of money. Too many people just hand the car over to someone and write out a blank check.

  • Couple people reffered me to these guys down the road.. Forcdfed Racing. One of about two rotary shops in BC. I'll check them out it's a ten minute walk. Anyways I'll let you go. Hope it's warmer on your part of the coast than it has been in Vancouver.

  • It's been in the 70's Farenheit here. Overcast, some small bits of rain(hard to keep a car clean when it does that!). Unfortunately the shop that did my streetport only does race cars now. There's really no good shops for rotaries in San Diego, Cali anymore.

Heck there's only one really good corvette shop out here too. The best ones are 2-3 hours away. San Diego is great for weather, lousy for car guys of any kind. :(

  • It's been the mid-80s to 100 here, which is too hot for my Canadian blood to handle hahaha. Guess by anyways standards, if you have a lake around, that's a decent day. 40 celsius is too hot to be doing anything to a car in direct sunlight for me though. I have to go help build a firepit in the backyard, of all things. 2-3 hours away sounds like a nice drive in Cali. Haven't been there since I was 10. I have family in Tracy and I think we visited San Fran too.

  • Cali is nice, but not very friendly towards car people. VERY strict smog policies, the Police profile imports, high taxes, high cost of living....

    But we have great weather!

  • So throw on 2 cats for the aircare test, then take them off again after you pass!

  • Not that simple I'm afraid. Anything '96 and newer has to have a computer hooked up to the car's ECU and checked as well.

Oh and all visuals must check out too. EGR, Cats, smog pumps, etc, etc. If it doesn't have a CARB identification plaque, it's not smog legal.

  • So find a shady insurance company and insure it for out of state? If my rex doesn't pass inspection here with a cat, I'm gonna talk to the lady my friend knows. Apparently she can insure for out of the lower mainland. The lower mainland is basically the Greater Vancouver area which is the only area of BC that has aircare.

  • I know it's hard for Americans to accept that things in the "outside world" could be better than anything built on your patriotic American soil, but fact of the matter is, they are. And Mustang's are a dime a dozen. Same with Corvette's and every other muscle out there. RX-7s and Skyline's aren't. Originality plays a big factor in what makes a car better than another. Seen one Ford/Chevy, you've seen them all.

  • why waste my time to become a expert on the gayest inventions sense micheal jackson. stock for stock there is no tuner that can beat a stock ZR1,

  • Michael Jackson wasn't invented. And he isn't gay.

lol @ stock for stock. 3.6 0-60 is your beloved ZR1. 3.2 for the Skyline. You don't seem to understand that 200-300 extra pounds makes a huge difference.

My 1987 naturally aspirated RX-7 would have a good shot at beating a stock ZR1.

  • lol i hate america it made me the way i am, sorry if i affend you but i cannot compute anything but fuck foreign ppl and there pos cars, seriously its not my fault its the way every american is that i have ever met, all we think is "i am the best is your weird or drive rice you are a peice of shit" so honesty sorry but, dont tell anyone i told you the truth for once ;)

  • We all know the truth.

  • at least i admit it, no really i hate it here all the women are whores, the men are assholes and every lies cheats steels and our economy will collaps in 2yrs so this is proble the last year you will have to deal with me, lol ill see yall in hell :)

  • She's my ex gf.

    And yes, I did.

  • nice burn out bro !!

  • why would you do that to a cym 7 you could of made a shit load of money selling it with the right motor in there. but you got dumb and dropped a v8 in there.

  • Why u dont have the original Engine? Idiot

  • Badass. Hopefully I'll have my FD done the end of next year.

Props man you put a real engine in there.

  • Nice! Is that an original CYM 1993 RX7?

  • u r crazy man, a mustang sucks compared to a rx7 with an ls1, like unless you got the shelby cobra with some other stuff done to it and shit you know, this car is the best
