Thanks for the clip... He had his chance to choose Elena over the "Witch" and he made sure that the "Witch" didn't die... who's he trying to kid Elena or HIMSELF??? I think Damon truely believes what he is saying but his actions say something else!!
@merculedi It's definitely a reassures to himself. Absolutely. I find it highly odd that Damon took measure to save Bonnie, and was definitely affected by her "death" and then say something like this. Like he is backtracking. A big foreshadow in my opinion. Why did he say Bonnie and not everyone else ore someone else. It was foreshadow to Damon's conflict between Bonnie and Elena. It was a foreshadow that there will be day he has to choose between them. And it won't be that easy like he's saying
