@MysticSonic007 They are made fresh everyday and you buy them from the fridge compartments at convenience stores and supermarkets or cafes. The seaweed is only wrapped seperately so that it stays crunchy until you are ready to eat it.
@MysticSonic007 Also make sure to not put it in the fridge to keep cool, the seaweed can get soggy. Its also better to eat it that day, it can last up to 2 days at the most
I don't know jabbawockeez because I'm in New Zealand. But I'm sure you could find them in California or other places with large Japanese populations...maybe not with this wrapping, though. If you want to buy the wrapper to make your own you could try looking at Daiso stores if there are any near you. Good luck!
I always wondered that? I did have an onigiri in Hawaii one time about 15 years ago, but they have a big Japanese population. It's seems like such an obvious snack.
That packaging is fascinating. I have to resort to keeping the nori seperate in a ziplock baggie until ready to eat. When are we going to see onigiri in stores in the USA?
