Some south american countries teach to shoot while walking because you can use the movement to control the rifle and if you take big leaning steps you dont get caught on growth. The reason the recoil isn't noticeable on film is because they're secured to a heavily built pintle mount. The US Army Special Forces experimented with a 7.62 or 5.56mm minigun for individual use. The recoil at the lowest cyclic rate (1000/min) was so fierce that it would turn a man around in a complete circle. It was completely unusable.

Well, they do have a little bit of relation since the bullet diameters are the same. The 7.62x39mm round generally has a lighter weight bullet than the 7.62x51mm NATO. It's still an apples to oranges comparison though.
@ledzepdude4040 I think you have got it backwards, The FAL was orignaly fully automatic and then it was decided that it was to hard to control with its large caliber, so they just got rid of the option for full auto. The M14 is pretty much the same story. This guy probably has an older model.

@TMoNeY187x Um... are you kidding? O_o They have massive recoil compared to ANY lighter gun. Miniguns shoot ammo that is intended for assault rifles and with speed over 2500 rounds per minute.
If you actually try to shoot one that is not bolted down, you would fly backwards and crush all your bones. Its like trying to hold down a motorcycle that tries to run over you with full speed!! It is impossible with one, so with two it is just... well, 2X impossible...

@TMoNeY187x Lol. Miniguns have MASSIVE recoil. It's like shooting several M60s or MAGs at the same time. The reason the recoil isn't noticeable on film is because they're secured to a heavily built pintle mount. The US Army Special Forces experimented with a 7.62 or 5.56mm minigun for individual use. The recoil at the lowest cyclic rate (1000/min) was so fierce that it would turn a man around in a complete circle. It was completely unusable.

Im guilty of playing the cod games but I am a collecctor of firearms and love to shoot and I can't stand those little boys that think that playing these games makes them expercts. I can tell these boys that the power distribution and even sometimes the names( sometimes) are wrong, but of corse they won't listen. It makes me want to stop playing games but not enough to quit. ha ha. Nice shooting by the dude in the video though; looked very controlled.

@bbsloveme The FAL's 7.62 round has no relation to the AK round, the FAL fires 7.62x51mm (.308 WIN) and the AK fires 7.62x39mm

Well, they do have a little bit of relation since the bullet diameters are the same. The 7.62x39mm round generally has a lighter weight bullet than the 7.62x51mm NATO. It's still an apples to oranges comparison though.

@ledzepdude4040 I think you have got it backwards, The FAL was orignaly fully automatic and then it was decided that it was to hard to control with its large caliber, so they just got rid of the option for full auto. The M14 is pretty much the same story. This guy probably has an older model.
