  • huh, sounds like you guys need a hug from Jesus. And let me ask all of you, do you really know that creationism is a myth or is that just your opinion. And the fact that all of you bible bash at least i know that your own beliefs are not strong in what you think happened and why were here. Its people like you that give America a bad name and rep, so please get it together and live in love and peace... Hmm isnt that what Jesus taught.

  • @strong12345ify Creationism isn't so much a myth as it is a wild theory, not to bible bash and by all means I have no problem with religious believers, but its very very unlikely that the world was created by an omnipotent being.

I consider it ignorant that people teach their children that it is truth. The books terminology was a bit brute, but I think it needs to be said in one way shape or form in case someone has been brought up into those beliefs.

I'll conclude in another reply, out of room.

  • @strong12345ify I'm fairly convinced that the stories of the bible were only ever meant for philosophical and morale purposes. Teaching to love one an other, treat others as you would wish to be treated, respect others, etc. etc.

I find it a shame that people have taken the bible completely out of context and so many arguments are raised by the controversy of belief. I agree with you completely on the living in love and peace, who gives a left or right what someone believes, just treat them well

  • That man doesn't know the meaning of myth apparently. :P

  • I am fucking ashamed to be an American

  • creationists are only for freedom of speech when it agrees with their beliefs, not facts. Funny how offended these clowns get with fact, when I get offended at their unsupported nonsense. They should pray about it. He admits he's not smart, maybe he shouldn't be breeding.

  • @ChunxOfEarth well creationism is mainly excepted in devout belief, most of the devout believers in most religions follow the teachings of the importance in fertility and child bearing. So if anything his beliefs are pushing him to have more children.

Hell, the catholic church at one point advertised incest to find men more suitable mates. Disturbing, but without the crazy pushing of the importance of fertility I doubt we'd be 6billion strong today.

  • people like this make me angry, people like this make Europeans think all Americans are Bible thumping retards

  • It is a bloody myth you fucking morons.

  • however much it is obviously a myth - and when you think about that, not really an offensive one, would he expect people to call it the unequivocally true story of creationism - i think he's probably got a point, most atheists would usually object to religion being mentioned in a science class, so we probably ought to be tolerant of pretty ridiculous religious views and reciprocate

  • IT IS A FUCKING MYTH! why these reporters pick a side? ther are suppost to be neutral dicks!

  • One culture's religion is the next's mythology.

  • I hotly despise Gretchen and the 'concerned parent' but this does have a fair point, the book's language is a little harsh.

Yes, creationism is a stupid, half-cooked shyster scam of a flimsy hack of a basement-dweller's inane ramblings tacked on to an already laughable and superstitious religion's voodoo rituals of self-enforced ignorance.

But you don't SAY that to students. It discourages them from educating themselves and lack of education is what led to all this stupidity.

  • "Creationism: the biblical myth that the universe was created by the Judeo-Christian god in 7 days."

Myth should be called myth with not regret, an creationism HAS BEEN A POPULAR MYTH BUT A MYTH and in this time of science and reasoning with have to brake with the Judeo-Christin tradition, which is just one of the many traditions in the planet, so any scientific definition most be clear that this is a Judeo-Christian myth, There are other myths that has a different view of the universe.

  • Everything in the bible is myth. Christianity is a cult and the teachings therof have no place in a public school. Go play fantasy "jesus land" crap on your own dime in a PRIVATE SCHOOL.

  • The school in question will likely want to have a book burning. I hope it rains.

  • He admits he's not smart, so at least he's honest.

  • They didn't even care if it's accurate to call it a myth or not. Their dispute was that they were offended, and they knew their only recourse was to have the book banned because they didn't have any way to vindicate their ridiculous beliefs.

  • "I'm not smart enough to pick that stuff up" Then why the hell do you think you are qualified to even address the issue? The book is put together by professionals of their fields and you are just a parent with imaginary friends who have serious superiority complexes.

  • Definition of myth: a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, esp. one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature.

    Sounds like religion to me.

  • The "Bible" is the Greatest work of Pagan Mythology Ever Writ.

  • This guy's a fucking idiot.

  • Funny how a creationist admittedly isnt smart enough to realize when people disprove creationism..

Why are these retarded people still around?

  • If you think it's offensive to call a spade a spade, you are ignorant.

Let's all kick Creationism down the road & into the ManBearPig cave, Mmmmmm- K?

    I'm SUPER cereal!!!

  • prove that creationism is anything but a myth... we're listening
