I saw Carl play at The Savanahh Bar and Grille in Cleveland about 10 years ago, and to this day it was the best show ever. He is truly an amazing guitar player.

Mayer is an excellent guitarist..but its total lunacy for anyone to say he is a better blues guitarist than Buddy Guy! I love Mayer but he is not a 'better' blues guitarist tham the bro' on the Gibby...honest thing is...everytime a young white guy comes out the blocks smokin' they are always built up and others are ignored. Now Rolling stone is a mag with mxed credibility, tney contributed to the break upm of Cream by insuating that Cream were no good (this is true, look it up), which is obviuosly crap. Then, they consistently slammed Led Zeppelin for the last thirty odd years. I am not aware of Mayer being conisidered godly by anyone until Rolling Stone said so, but with real guitar gods like Hendrix, Clapton, Slash and SRV, everyone just knew they were gods, and didn't need a magazine to tell them so.
