Still looks incredibly bland. Putting something in 2d doesn't automatically make it a better game. You could throw all of sonic 06, shadow the hedgehog, and IMO Sonic Heroes into the 2nd dimension, and it wouldn't change the fact that those games were subpar.

@Enigma2Me Agreed.I don't get it why people go ZOMG 2D over Sonic.Maybe,it's a bit better to control,but it wouldn't change the glitches,load times,or anything bad the game had before.I just don't understand the Sonic fanbase.

I think they should remake Sonic 06 for the systems. Work out the glitches and loading screens, maybe reanimate the Zone cutscenes, rerecord some lines. Hell, maybe even use the Hedgehog Engine. I bet it'd be a great game.
