  • at this kind of ''sport'' Im 4 the horse D=

  • He's a good rider. :)

And btw. Im sure this wasnt abuse. Its only abuse if they stab the horse or electricute it. Im sure they didnt.

  • that poor horse!!

  • haha "is it a horse or a bull" wtf dumbass theres a saddle on it

  • poor horse!:'(

  • is that a horse or a bull?

  • It is a horse.

  • how is that not a horse?

  • well i dont know, when im horse ill try them all and tell what is most stressful yeah lol

  • Probably a dressage horses have more stress, it takes years to perfect. It takes lots of patience to train one I am sure.

  • Do you do rodeo yourself?

  • No, I raise horses that go on to the cutting pen. (Yes, I show them too)

My brother rodeos. He even owns a retired bucking mare and my 4 yr old neice rides her everywhere.

  • its amazing how a horse outa broncing can be so sweet. i have met some horses that are so sweet, then people tell me that they are used for the 'broc busting'. its hard to belive

  • Because, they are obviously not enjoying this & the damage is that they may fear people because they force them into a stressful ordeal :)

Horses, are pretty tough animals, your right there, but mentally? Im not so sure :S

  • Mentally they are fine or they wouldn't be work horses too.

  • God How Can You Not See This Is Abuse?

It May Not Be Physical But Mental Harm Your Doing To This Horse Is Crazy. You've Said Before About Showjumping Being Cruel, But I Dont See Many Of Them Bucking With All Their Might To Rid Themselves Of Their Rider.

  • Sorry not seeing how this is causing them mental harm? This is one natural instinct a horse has- is to buck.

As for jumpers I have no problem with, I was only useing jumpers as an example, that is the owners deal to train them how they like.

Horses are not made of glass they are actually a pretty tuff animal. :)

  • rodeos suck asssss ur all animal abusers douche bags

  • blah blah blah. Animal abusers? Hello where have you been?, all people here want to do is put pretty bows in their manes and tails and tell others what they can or cant do with horses they dont even own!! wow, you might look into that before posting a comment. geesh.

  • i hope he hurt him self

  • That is so mean! I hate that sport!!!!!!

  • Do you not have bronc busting where you are from? Have you seen this in person? It's more ruff on the cowboy than the horse that is for sure! lol

  • poor horse, its in blummin pain from the piece of robe around his back legs!!! this is awful

  • It has a flank strap on. No pain, it is just looped around it's flanks. In 8 sec or less it is removed with a flick of a wrist.

Nothing harmful is used on the horse.

  • If it´s no pain, the horse would´t jump around, right? dont like this, sorry

  • anyone that knows horses know that the flanks are sometimes ticklish to the horse and the slightest bump with the leg or anything can launch them into bucking. This is a natural responce to a flankish horse. Some horses arn't flanky they don't make bucking stock..lol

but none the less it is not painful. basically ''tickling'' them into bucking the cowboy around. Thier is one company that use their bucking stock as Ranch horses.

  • hmm, but if they like it so much, can´t you teach them to to this whitout a flank strap?

It seams to me that the horses must get alot of indjuries

  • No because it is tickling them. Actually their is only like 3% that get small injuries, like scrapes and such the cowboy gets more injuries than the animals! lol

Horses are tuffer than people think or give them credit for. I mean their not made of glass or anything like that. They can hold their own thats for sure.

  • I dont care if the people get any injuries, it´s their choise to do this. The horses cant tell that they dont like or dont want to do this..

When I look at the strap, i cant see it´s tickling...looks like it´s pretty hard.. But I dont have any experience about this. In my country we dont have the same way to treat and "use" our horses..

  • I'm not trying to convince you to like or dislike rodeo sports. Their are several sports like jumping for example, I dont think the horse askes to be jumped and have its legs left open in the front so as if it gets a good whack it knows to lift up off the jump. These horses are no different than any other event horse.

The flank strap is a very soft leather not hard at all. Really flimsy and moveable.

  • The only thing on the horse is a halter, saddle, cowboy and flank strap. Nothing harmful. and a lead for the cowboy to hang on too. :) Everyday items except the flank strap and that is just to tickle them into bucking.

  • and in my opinion the mare's tend to put more heart into it than any of the others! lol.

I'm sure their are some that will disagree but those ol mares can give you a run for the money.

  • fucking dickhead

    bronco is so cruel!!

i hope you fall, and get seriously hurt..

  • I probably shouldn't have approved this comment, but your probably just jeolus you can't ride a bronc. Probably can't ride a broke horse to be honest. :(

  • hmm yeah i'm so jealous..

i so wish i could jump on a mad horse and make it freak out in pain..

    ahh yeah fun

    NOT

just cos' i don't like the idea of inflicting unnecessary pain or stress upon animals, right?

    and ok then,

    watch some of my videos

    i'm a REAL rider,

not some dumb ass cowgirl who tortures animals as a sport..

  • Can you tell me what is sooo painful to the horse? or do you even know what makes them buck??

  • yup

sometimes it's the tight strap round near the flanks

and even if it isn't that..

the horse is wound up until breaking point by idiotic morons before being ridden

either way, it's totally stressful and horrible..

so, go learn how to ride properly (Y)

any moron can ride a bronc..

  • They are not wound up by anyone. It is called a flank strap.

It takes talent to ride a bronc, anyone that has had a horse (other than a beginners horse) knows what I mean, so until you actually ride a green horse you need to be a little less judgemental.

FYI green horse=less than 30 days of riding.

  • hmmm yes of course,

because i've only broken in..what? oh yes, that's right SEVEN horses..

plus, take a look at my videos,

you can clearly see from them that my horses are NOT beginner horses... and my 13hh pony is an absolute maniac..

    she cat-leaps..broncs..rears..bucks...spins

i was seven years old when i got her, and she had been broken in for something like... three days..

    so yeah, piss off

  • Your the one that sit and watched my video and commented.

A bigginer horse is where anyone can ride them not the actuall horse its self being a beginner.

    need i say more??

  • yeahh, i know what a beginner horse is..

and that's why i said, my horses are not beginner horses..

    they are both very difficult

and like i said, one of my horses had only been broken in for about three days when i first got her. she was absolutely mental, and i was absolutely tiny... but now we are jumping 138-148cm SJ courses BSJA.. if you even know what that means.

so basically, i have ridden a green horse..

    you dippyshit..

  • yup, I'm no Spring chicken, I've been raising and training horses for 20+ yrs.

not that I'm sure as to what a cm is converted over here we messure by feet so we have 4 feet jumps and so on.

How long have you been raising and training your horses

  • 138cms is like... 4.5 feet.. and 148cms is obviously bigger..

    since i was like, two

  • My sister was the jumper in the family, she hated to here them crack their cannons on the poles she said they had no protection on their legs from that and she just knew that was painfull, she guessed it was intended that way so as next time to pick up more off the jump. But of course she had dreams of Grand Prix too. So she didn't let a little pain bother her in that respect.

  • yes

that's why i put brushing boots on my jumping pony..

  • She had some type of boots on them but they left the front open, more so protected the back of the leg and fetlocks but not their cannons, I felt that was cruel.

  • my ponies' boots wrap all of the way round all four of her legs..

they're completely padded out with a fleecy lining..

when (if) she clips a pole, it makes no noise at all...

  • That is good that you take care of their legs,

not that I have a problem with the way some train their jumpers.

  • i don't like the way that some train jumpers..

eg, hedgehog skins on the poles, beating the hell out of them when they refuse

my pony jumps at her own accord, she enjoys it... if she didn't enjoy it, i wouldn't keep asking her to do it.

  • That is good, i'm glad you have a horse that enjoys jumping it is a fun sport to sit and watch.

  • thanks :)

    can you jump?

  • not professionaly, I had once or twice on my sisters TB it was awesome!!!!, but I loved the cutting horses at an early -early age, so I stuck with them.

  • do you have video of you jumping? can you post a link?

  • yeahh, there's a few on my page :)

but they're all of really tiny jumps..

my pony had a rest off work in the winter (showjumping thing), so i'm habing to bring her back into work steadily..

  • okay, click your name and it goes to your page, I like the bay named rosie

  • my cob-girl?

    thanks :)

  • why are you criticizing this rider? It is not abuse at all!! and seriously, you arent a "real" rider. I saw your videos.

  • wow u stayed on for a while kid!!!!!

  • You can tell this horse is uncomfortable in his tack, and Rodeo is cruel to horses and the cattle they use.

  • and the funny thing is the people that got horse slaughter ended really made it worse on these poor animals. NOW THAT WAS CRUEL.

  • This is the bad side of the horse sport, well you can`t call this shit sport this is pure meaness!!!!

  • How so?

This horse is well taken care of.

Since the people that are anti-slaughter were so inhumane to let horses go hungry and be in pain from injuries, I'd say this fella has it pretty good.

  • Mabye, but not all horses! I think this isn`t fair ti the horses, use them like that, People who bumping on their back, I don`t think the horses like this. But thats just my opinion =)

  • I dont know, my friend has a horse that must like to buck :D and he's well broke to ride.

  • Sue that there are horses who likes it, but I still think it^s wrong =)

  • I'm a natural horsemanship trainer. I've been riding since I was five. I've been in apprecnticeships for everything from western ranches to race stables. And I've seen the behind the stage goings on at rodeos. Most bucking "bucks" (aka naughty horses) love it! They sit there and watch the crowd while they go at it. Once the bucking cinch is removed they're happy, tame little ponies. They're fat, happy, and only have to work maybe once a week. And they're work is getting a rider off in 8 seconds!

  • what a beautiful horse.too bad he was used like this:(

  • All horses are beautiful. As you can tell he gets fed good, he sure is fat and sassy!

Can't say that about most useing horses now days.

  • agreed, this horse has it pretty good. =]

since this anti slaugghter thing started up, most horses are abandoned. this horse is fed well and has an awesome life it looks like. people can say this is cruel, but most have never been 2 a rodeo to even tell. lol

  • So mean.

  • You're a knob.
