檸 檬 好 勁 !
據1964年《香港影星年鑑》資料，檸檬原名許祐民，番禺人。藝名的來源﹕1934年左右，經朋友介紹灌粵曲唱片。改藝名時，朋友看到唱片中一曲名是《檸檬先生講古》，順口提議以檸檬作藝名，此名於是沿用至今。
檸檬70年代仍活躍於電視界，在TVB及RTV穿梭演出。
檸檬最後一套電視劇，其中一幕說他黙黙看著一間棺材鋪，拍完該劇後沒多久便去世。當時娛樂雜誌曾為此一語成讖之事作報導。

降龍掌, 黯然銷魂掌的功架、掌勢, 雖有現實參考, 但亦近神怪之流
